independent . confident . clever

Timbercall is not an emotional mind; she is logical and very clever, and this trait reflects in the way she hunts and fights. Sometimes cats might take her for a Badgerclan cat for the pragmatic way she deals with things, but she believes strongly in her clans' beliefs and has faith in the Beyond. Her confidence is reflected not only in herself, but on the trust to her clanmates as well.
She is a very practical mind, always looking for a solution or another way to deal with problems. She has natural solving-problem abilities, but cats often don't look for advice in her because of her crabby attitude.

fierce . protective . sarcastic

Even though she might seem solitary, the truth is, she is just a very independent cat. Despite that, she strongly believes in union and co-operation with her clanmates, who she is very protective of. She learned this way of living from her mother's absence during her kithood and apprenticeship, when she took on her shoulders the care of her siblings and her own. Even tough she had a father who loved her, it wasn't enough to fix the other parent's mistakes and that's why Timbercall learned to rely only on herself.
She is often sarcastic, but that is her way to deal with the difficult life of a wild cat. This puts her sometimes in a bad light, and that's why she doesn't easily make close friendships in the clan.
These traits came to her while growing up and dealing with her own problems on her own: learning to tackle problems without anyone's help, unfortunately, made her often hard to accept help from others. From her old experiences with bullies during kithood, she became used to care first to her siblings and then to her clanmates in a very personal way.

disagreeable . aloof . stubborn

Timbercall's sarcasm often gets in the way of her relationship with her clanmates, making her seem harsh or aloof. In truth, her words are often a way for her to release the stress of daily life and she grew up this way. Despite her trust towards her leader and clanmates, she is a free mind and she strongly believes in er opinions; which might make her seem stubborn at times.
Cats who manage to get to know her well are aware that her bad-tempered moods are only a facade of her true self. For others, she's a grumpy young cat. "Who put ants in your nest?!"

the lore

Kithood. . .

As a young kit, she was pretty active and spent her time playing with her siblings and the other kits in the nursery, though she preferred her family to the others. Her favorite game was hide and seek, but she also played fight a lot with her father. Their mother was often emotionally unavailable, and even though she loved them, she was far more dedicated to her warrior life than to her own family. Timberkit never blamed her mother for her absence and lived peacefully under his father's care, but in a couple of moons a group of older kits changed their attitude and started bullying her and her siblings. She took in the role of defender and received the most attention by the bullies, so that their siblings could go through their kithood more easily. Timberkit raised her voice and started using her claws, attiring negative attentions from older cats and putting her in a bad light. That explains much of her grumpy attitude toward other cats, as an adult.

Apprenticeship. . .

Her apprenticeship would have gone pretty easily, if not for the difficult relationship between her and her mentor. She didn’t like their ways of teaching, such as prioritizing instinct over pragmatism. So Timberpaw started practicing her techniques with her father more and more often, taking his way of fighting and developing her own way of hunting. Her mentor showed themselves to be more than stern, when Timberpaw got herself injured during a climbing lesson and broke her leg. Even if it was never mentioned, the warrior secretly blamed her for her fall and not doing her duties for a moon. During that time, Timberpaw was often restless and didn't receive many visits from her mother. She couldn't forgive herself for all the time lost in the medicine cat's den, and that brought her to become a lot rigid with herself about carrying out her duties in the clan.

Warriorhood. . .

Timbercall became a warrior a moon later than her siblings due to her accident, at the age of 13 moons old. She became used to the warrior's life very soon and tackled everyday's life with great determination and a lot of effort in her duties.

Questions

  • What do they think about the other clans?
Timbercall doesn't look kindly upon Badgerclan and Hawkclan. She knows the competition against them is a matter of life and death, and would do anything to ensure these two don't penalize Bearclan's survival.
  • Do they have any religious/spiritual beliefs?
She believes in the Beyond but does not put her trust in them. On the contrary, she prefers to focus on the living ones and she knows that their destiny is in their own paws.
  • What’s their preferred method of fighting?
Timbercall leaps and twistes a lot while fighting, taking advantage of her agility to confuse the enemy and dodge their attacks.
  • What was the most acidic remark your character’s ever given to someone?
When she was still a kit, she called an old elder "stinky as dead fish" after being scoffed by them.
  • How was their childhood? Did their parents treat them fairly? Did they have any really good friends?
Timbercall had always been a particular kit, not really seeking out other's company but neither rejecting them as they came to her. She grew up with other kits in the nursery, while her parents were busy with their warrior duties. The mother was rather practical and not really emotive.
