BACKSTORY
Yintao (meaning Peach, not to be confused with his former name, "Yingtao" meaning Cherry) is a LMK OC I adopted from the Twitter user DeviliciousNavy!
Yintao is a sweet, friendly, yet courageous monkey from the Flower Fruit Mountain! He's been friends with Wukong for hundreds of years, often attending the many banquets Wukong threw in his prime, and proved himself time and time again to be a wonderful and valiant leader in Wukong's stead.
Due to his close relationship with Wukong, as well as his general popularity and friendliness among all the other monkeys, he was eventually made a sworn son to Wukong; The Monkey Prince, whom would attend to the Flower Fruit Mountain and look after the other monkeys in Wukong's absence. Wukong is sometimes gone for decades at a time due to factors such as time progressing faster in the Celestial Realm, so the monkeys have come to know Yintao as a leader and carer really well!
Unlike Wukong, Yintao has never left the Flower Fruit Mountain, as his responsibilities are to the monkeys and there's nothing else he could ask for. He loves his home, living most days a simple life in the refreshing air with his favourite little creatures. He, with many of the residents of the mountain, live on as immortals thanks to Wukong's many banquets featuring Immortality Peaches and other delicacies of the like, leading Yintao himself to be around 800 years old by now!
Despite most days being blissful, there do come the days when greedy or violent demons harass the residents of this mountain, where Yintao shines with his courageous side resolving all the conflicts in-between Wukong's stays! With the help of the other brave monkeys by his side, of course. Yintao doesn't have any special abilities or even incredibly intensive training of his own outside of what Wukong has taught him, so he loves the idea of finding strength in numbers, protecting their home as partners and friends.
While most of his lore surrounds Journey to the West and Lego Monkey Kid, Yintao does, in fact, have a Bloons identity as well! Unlike my other OC, Riluo Yue, who has a custom Bloons design but doesn't necessarily have a place in the universe. In the Blooniverse, Yintao (going by "Yin" or "Tao") is a top path Druid (3-0-1) who, true to his nature, loves to make friends and help in any way he can on the battlefield.
PS! One of Yintao's nicknames is "TaoTao", but only Wukong really calls him that!
