Uriah Lycan, almost always known as Mello, is a Maximum Ride human character, the best friend of Abigail "Citrus" Lucia May and adoptive father of Orion James May. Whenever conflict arose between Citrus and her ex boyfriend before Orion was created, Mello took Citrus into his house and allowed her to live there with his mom and stepdad. The two have been extremely close ever since. Mello has grown up with quite a strange but not horrible homelife - with around 25 half and step siblings who are all extremely close to eachother despite the weird circumstances, he's almost always around children or siblings despite being the only child of his mother, who he lives with full time. His closest two siblings are RJ - his half brother who is only 2 months younger than him - and Kat, his nonbinary sibling who is the year below him. He has a close friend group consisting of the two previously mentioned siblings, two girls who are dating called Vienna and Daisy, and a boy called Jackson. Soon enough, Citrus was also added to these ranks.

Mello tends to be very calm. Being raised by one of the best child therapists in America, he tends to be quite calm but not cold. He isn't really energetic or bouncy, but he'll be enthusiastic in hiw own way. He rarely smiles, but when he does you know he really means it.

Mello met Citrus when he was only 15-16 years old in school, as she was a new student. Instantly when Citrus joined school, Mello realised that she was going to have a bit of trouble with the jerks that were his classmates. His younger half brother RJ went to speak to Citrus first, and when she returned Mello and RJ had to stand up for her against the shit people in his school.

A lot happened after that, but one of the things that happened was that Mello helped Citrus move into his house when her ex boyfriend and family kicked her out of the house. After a few months of living with her, Citrus returned from a short trip holding a little boy. Mello then learned of Citrus' true identity - the fact she was an experiment, as was her son who had just been taken from a literal test tube and given to her. Instead of freaking out - which he was a little inside, he almost instantly claimed that little boy as his own son and promised Citrus she would always remain the same Citrus he had grown to love over the time they'd spent together.
