Profile

Appearance

Height
Around 5'10"
Body
Usually fair to tanned skin. Slender build. Distinguishing marks vary from day to day.
Face
Ears and mouth sometimes seem a little big for his head, but not unnaturally so.
Eyes
Heterochromia. Right eye dark blue. Left eye amber. Blind in left eye and it always has a yellow tint.
Hair
Usually dyed pink, shaggy, and covering their eyes.
Clothes
Whatever they wear, they almost always have their pink jacket, pink fingerless gloves, and pink running shoes. At least when he's not around his parents.
Other
Born mute. His flesh-shifter abilities mean he doesn't always have the exact same appearance from day to day, but it's normally too subtle for anyone to notice. They have no fingerprints and their skin is slightly clammy.

Berry - Raz's "disguise" for prom, and possibly other times. A more feminine figure, fair skin and curly brown chin length hair. Dark eyes, still heterochromatic. More likely to wear a dress.

Personality

Trying to Find Themself - Raz has never been settled in their identity, from the question of just what their gender is to what they actually want to do with their life. Sometimes he can come off as scatterbrained or fickle, with a new project each week. Nothing seems to quite fit.

Cheerful - Enthusiastic and bright. It's not that Raz never has negative emotions, but in public they do their best to never show them. The class clown - they want to make everyone smile. He's somewhat single-minded in his outward happiness, getting almost forceful with it the more upset he actually feels.

Afraid - Even before the event, Raz worried about being too weird, wearing a fake skin, never fitting in. And now they barely have a body of their own. The whispers that tell them they're not even human anymore are the same insecurities they've always had in different words.

Additional Information - They use sign language when they can or spend a lot of time writing and drawing stick figures to communicate. They know how to use a text-to-speech app, but hate the freaky robot voice. They don't identify fully as male, but don't know their own gender enough to be out about it. He dabbles in drawing and photography, making up for a complete lack of artistic talent with enthusiasm.

History

Date of Birth
December 14th
Place of Birth
Polaris Pass

- Born and raised in Polaris Pass. Aside from being born mute, and the bullying that came from that, Raz had a fairly normal childhood. His parents co-owned a bakery and did fairly well for themselves. He used this to bribe the other children with cookies. And his mother was a volunteer firefighter, which was kind of impressive in elementary school at least. Between that and his cheerful demeanor he made a few friends. Though not as many as he might have made if he wasn't so odd.

- Raz joined many clubs in school, usually leaving them just as quickly, so of course he was all for teaming up with his friends to hunt cryptids, even if they never let him be the one filming more than once.

- The group accidentally awoke an eldritch being in the mines. As if that wasn't bad enough the thing started stalking them all, trying to eat them. Tragedy struck at the group of friends. Raz's mother was killed on the job in the same eldritch-started fire that killed his friend Roland's parents. Though Raz never knew if it was a genuine accident or she was another victim.

- Raz was also stalked. Whispers telling them they'd actually fit in if they let themselves be devoured. Disturbingly tempting, even though Raz did not actually want to be eaten by an eldritch monster. When the group found a ritual to get rid of the monster, they joined in.

- Unfortunately the whispers never left, they gained flesh-shifting abilities they only have loose control over, and they're seeing supernatural creatures all around town. And they're not even finished high school.
