The King of Saliss, Eilias rose to the throne at the young age of 17 when his father, Ventras, unexpectedly passed away. Ventras was the last of his family, leaving Eilias the only heir. Growing up watching his father misuse his power and surround himself with people who would not question it - or even encourage and influence it - as long as they were paid well, Eilias became disillusioned and distrustful, largely keeping to himself, and upon becoming king replaced a significant number of the staff around him. He only truly trusts his childhood tutor and now advisor, Kloh.

He is studious and serious, spending any time between his duties reading and learning or training in magic or swordplay. He is a powerful mage, with a particular strength in fire magic. His studies often focus on alternate systems of government, wishing to find one that cannot lead to the same neglect for the country's peoples as was seen under Ventras' rule.
