While there may be little ledges you can rest on while you make your journey to the heights in the clouds, you'll find that they don't provide you sufficient space to spread your legs or lie down, so you decide to move on in hopes for greener pastures."
The goat-ish girl crosses over her other leg as she dips her hand in a dish of peachy pink water and turns to a new page of her book. Her eyes are fixated on the words that have been spilled across the page. When you try to read it, it all comes to some gibberish nonsense.
In fact, this entire place is complete nonsense, what she just said is complete nonsense, nothing is making sense in this world. It appears to be a recently-opened casino, its walls, floors and machines all either a shade of blue, purple or pink. It's loud, but all the noises and music just pump your blood with adrenaline and ecstasy. All the machines are playing themselves - slot machines are continuously being played and landing on '777' and showing a big message saying "WINNER! WINNER!" before the numbers are rolled again. A card game's going on just behind you where all the card piles contain a royal flush, and chips are being exchanged constantly. Everyone's a winner, but no one's here.
Her smile is gentle, yet constant, as though she does not know what it means to be melancholic. It does seem that it would be difficult to be upset in a place like this, where you always win. Winning makes people feel good. Like they've actually accomplished something in life other than wasting their measly wages for a sliver of a chance to earn more.
Subconsciously, you reach out to touch one of the slot machines, and you're not sure why. "Insert a coin", one of them says, and you feel something heavy in your pocket. Upon taking it out, you find a shiny gold coin with a picture of a simplified leaping goat imprinted on its surface. Without thinking, you place the coin into the slot and pull on the lever to roll the results.
Maybe you expected it, maybe you didn't, but you still feel yourself brighten as you see the first 7...then another 7...and another 7. 777. You've won. The feeling of victory washes over you like an enormous tsunami consuming a city, throwing you around and about in a daze of sheer joy. You can only stand there, bemused yet feeling as though you were floating on clouds as the girl strides over to you, placing a gloved hand on your shoulder.
"I see you're beginning to understand this place a little."
Her eyes are focused on you, her horizontal pupils fixated on you. It's almost unnerving as your happiness floats around you like little dust clouds.
She does not explain further as she walks away from you, once again opening up that large book and beginning to read again, this time standing close to a fountain of a dragon in the middle of the casino. You're not entirely sure what's going on, but you decide not to pay it much attention, turning your attention back to victory.

o n e . Early Life
Nene was not a particularly loud child when she was younger. She did not cry (much to the concern of her parents, who thought that she would suffocate to death before her life had even truly began), and instead liked to observe everything around her. As a baby, she could be found tottering around her parents, constantly curious about what they did, even if it was something as minor as picking up some fruit from the local market.
Although showing a keen interest in progressing with her studies, what held her back was her silence - she rarely spoke, if at all, and this prohibited her from asking about learnt material or asking for more resources to learn whatever topic she was studying at that time. If it was not for Momo, she may have never come out of her shell at all.
t w o . Model Life
She was an enthusiastic learner, especially when Momo was around to translate her quirks and actions when she struggled to muster the words to speak. The two would grow close, becoming best friends and considering themselves blood sisters. She breezed her way through high school - everything seemed to be Level 1 for her.
Nene worked her way to the top. Her life was rather simple, maybe even a little boring - she had a loving family that supported her endlessly on her journey, and through dedication, she became known as a model worker, her optimism and diligence shining through as her best traits She learned how to speak, and her voice began to outshine even the never-silenced Momo. Her speeches were passionate and convincing, and with her already amazing reputation, she was loved by all. She was living her best life - she had all the people at her finger, and her generally timid and outspoken nature outside of her presentations made her even lovable.
Yet...to Momo, it seemed she was looking for something...as though something was missing from her life.
t h r e e . Extraction of Anomalous Fulfillment
She credits Momo for allowing her to discover life.
Nene would continue to sail through life with her gifts of talent, hoping to live a life where she could just lay back and enjoy, without what she told Momo, "a nagging feeling in the back of my head to earn more, when I possibly couldn't have a more perfect life." She confided in her best friend that she was indeed happy, but "not as happy as I thought I would've been."
And suddenly, she was content. Something had awakened in Nene overnight, it seemed, as she now carried an air of confidence with her, walking with pride, acting as though she was invincible, but she was still somewhat like herself, still the kind person that she once had been. She started talking to Momo about being the one that allows others to achieve the full potential of happiness, because she was unable to achieve that.
With that, she opened up her first business - the Manbaatan Casino.
f o u r . The Exhilaration of Salvation
Nene is unrecognisable from her younger self. Surely, she may still be polite and intelligent, but she no longer holds the warmth that people around her used to seek from her.
She threw herself into working at the casino, and slowly but surely, her connections to her family began to decay. Even Momo's bond with her started to waver. Now, they are nothing more than just acquaintances, and Momo has long since stopped trying to bond with her - from what Nene's seen, anyways.
She doesn't mind all that much. To her, Momo's acknowledged that she's finally realised her goal and has allowed Nene to work towards it without interruption.
Happiness will not be disturbed.
