Born as the only child to an English noble family, Gabriel inherited the blood of those who considered themselves elite, high class, and at the top of society. Coming from old money, his household feels immense pride in their successful lineage. As such, he was raised to hold both himself and his family in high regard. He received only the best of the best: education, resources, money… the list was endless.

Unfortunately, Gabriel learned at a young age that familial love was something he’ll never truly experience. Expectations after expectations, it was evident that he was a mere doll whose accomplishments were only meant to boost the family name. Even before birth, his future was mapped out for him. Caring little for affection unless it was for show, he rarely saw his parents outside of grand events. Like a game of “house,” there was a role he was expected to play, and if he couldn’t fit the criteria, it was made clear that he’d be nothing but a disappointment.

Despite his family’s egotistical views, they showed a different face around others. Accepting this reality as “normal,” Gabriel obediently did as he was told. Wanting other families to look up to the von Noel’s, he was expected to act modest and kind in spite of him adopting their arrogant beliefs. Regardless of his own viewpoints, even the friends he made as a child were those he was ordered to acquaint with. It didn’t bother him very much at the time that he was using his peers for family gain. Truthfully, he didn’t think very highly of other kids.

Friends, studies, play… the rest of his childhood was unmemorable, if not oddly peaceful.

Although he continued this dishonest lifestyle well into his adolescent years, there were times when Gabriel began to act in opposition. In the process of learning various subjects, he found himself drawn towards music. Of course, the arts was something he couldn’t think to explore—his family would find better things in lieu of what they believe to be a shaky career. However, his curiosity continued to grow. Secretly, he began exploring other genres—even though he was only restricted to the classics—and slowly fell in love with the subject.

This act of rebellion sparked the catalyst to his independence. In accordance to his family’s wishes, he continued his friendships, kept up with his studies, and attended grand social events. However—despite having it all—he felt uncomfortable with his current state of affairs. As Gabriel continued to grow, his obedience in regards to his actions exponentially decreased. His emotions began to stir, and eventually he rationalized that he was unhappy with his life.

Once this realization dawned on him, Gabriel decided to leave his family as soon as he was financially able. With his talent, he steadily amassed a following that stabilized his career. Under the public alias “Atlas,” he turned over a new leaf—living with the resolve to stay true to himself.
