About

Unlike Atticus, Helen is not the type to let her fame get to her head. Placed in a lavender marriage with fellow actor Nathaniel Graves due to their sexual orientations, she is also a popular actress, who had been suddenly propelled into stardom due to her role in “Sheets of Velvet”, a new sound film released in 1929. She and Nathaniel live together, tolerating each other’s presence having agreed that they’re only together for the sake of their image, and nothing more. Their relationship is open, and while Nathaniel tends to “dabble” with other men behind the scenes, Helen just does her own thing. They almost never actively interact with each other, unless they’re in public and they have to share a fake smile and a kiss for the press. At home, they nag and sometimes get into the occasional argument, but aside from that they respect each other's personal space and boundaries.

On the surface, Helen might come off as jaded, cold, and soft-spoken. But once you get to know her, she is a fun and cheeky woman with a kind heart. She loves to gossip and discuss the latest drama and happenings in Hollywood Hills at times. She has a dry sense of humor and can also be quite sassy when need be. She has a tranquil and laid-back demeanor to her, and she has a refined way of speaking.

Little does the public know, however, that Helen is part of a race of bird-human shapeshifters, known as "avianthropes" (aves for short). Aves are seemingly everyday individuals that are born with feathers, scales, and a "bird form" that they can morph into at will, as well as other bird-like traits. Though they can shapeshift to get rid of their bird features (such as feathers and scales) in their human form, it's only something they can do temporarily because morphing can tire them out.

Helen strives for perfection, and being an ave made her feel alone in this world. Sometimes she just wished she could be a normal human being, and this is evident from the way she always tried to hide her feathers and bird traits. That is, until she met Atticus. meeting him was like a breath of fresh air, because they have many of the same struggles and it felt nice knowing she wasn't the only one. Overtime she becomes a little less ashamed of her origins, causing the two of them to become close friends. She also began to see the positives in her ave heritage as well. Aside from Atticus and her own family, not a single other soul knows about her being an ave. And overtime, she starts to develop feelings for him.

She mainly stars in dramas, comedies, and detective noirs, and occasionally musicals.

Trivia

She was born in Kansas City, Missouri.

She owns a horse named Claudius

She is a vegetarian!

A majority of the time, Helen's feather's aren't visible because she goes out of her way to shapeshift and make sure they aren't there. This is because she wants to look as normal as possible amongst humankind.

Her bird form is a dove.

Unlike Atticus, who leaves the feathers on his head alone, Helen shapeshifts to get rid of any and all traces of her feathers and scales. She does not shift to hide her feathers when she's either alone by herself, or when she's hanging out with Atticus. But if she ever forgets that she's supposed to be hiding them, and they come back for whatever reason in public, she just lies and says they're a decoration.

Although she and Atticus are friends, she has quite a large crush on him.

She doesn't turn into her bird form as often as Atticus does, so she's not as good at flying.

She's really good at singing, her headcanon singing voice is Laufey.
