Y our name is DANI . It is the 23rd of April, and you have just gifted your online friend a DIGITAL COPY of a video game that seemed to be popular way back when. Being a mostly isolated weird kid and growing up in her own bubble has made Dani internalise some behaviours and ideas most would consider "offputting". In her perspective she tries to be an open and honest person who can make her friends laugh once or twice. To others though, she is a bit too spontaneous and blunt for most people's liking. Whenever shes worried someone is upset by something she said/did, she switches to being overly accomodating and people pleasing, often avoiding conflict by letting people step over her.

Dani is a SYLPH of BLOOD. The game SBURB aligned her to the classpect for her innate tendency to appeal to the people around her, and to help mend friendships and other relationships.

Because she lived mostly detached from the real world and cooped up in her own house, the game charged her with being a "Sylph of Blood", someone who heals and creates connections.

Her most powerful ability is her REDDER MILES, blood red tendrils that can touch, feel, pick up, hit, and even heal via blood transfusion.

Wirekind/Scissorkind

After trying to disconnect her internet modem, she accidentally equipped it as her Strife Specibus, which she was saving up for a good item. After that incident, and acquiring another free card... she accidentally equipped a pair of scissors. Alls well that ends well!

Etch-A-Sketch Modus

Pretty much the pictionary modus, but more difficult. When selected, it will spawn a peach coloured etch-a-sketch. Drawing a nearby item will pick it up, and if the drawn item is not nearby, it will create a ghost card. Like the pictionary modus, it too is quite finicky when it comes to overly simplistic/complicated items.

Story

PRE-SBURB

Her pa has been dead for quite a long time. Luckily he raised her to be independent, although not in all the ways that are good. She doesn't go to school, and mostly just lives off of the inheritance he passed down to her. The day she buried him, she swore not to tell anyone, since she was scared of being put in the systen.

She met her friends on a community app about video games, and grew close with a small section of it. They drew art, roleplayed and wrote stories about eachother, and they became her friends and family. One day she received a message from Arin about a birthday idea. He had found the source code of a game from 8 years back, and thought a gaming session to be the perfect birthday present for their "vintage video game" loving friend.

PLAYING SBURB

Dani boots up a digital copy of SBURB, and is the first to host, being a server player to Levi. Already something is off, as reports of meteorites oddly reminiscent of a similar event that occured 8 years ago begin the crop up, and the kids begin to have doubts. Still, she gets Levi in, and sees news on the TV of a familiar sounding suburban american town being crushed by a meteorites. She realises something has gone terribly terribly wrong.

Dani has now caught onto the truth of the game. 8 years ago, the whole world experienced a green light and all of their stars in the galaxy dissapeared forever. But it wasn't the stars that dissapeared, it was the earth. She and Arin figure this out, and try to warn some of their online friends. But for almost all except Zoey it is all too late, and she watches in horror as their statuses slowly go offline. For good.
