Evan is one of the most popular guys at his high school -- and it's obvious why. He's kind, smart, and gets involved in a lot of different activities. He hs a close friend group, and a best friend named Noelle. In all criteria, he seems to be the perfect high schooler -- so when he suddenly starts getting close to one Cash Adler, it's a little unexpected.

Evan is a guy that most would describe as a very good role model. Incredibly smart and talented, but also humble and kind as well. Evan has a dependable shoulder to lean on at all times, and as drum major, he supports younger band members and acts as a leader within his band family. Nobody's perfect, though, and Evan has a lot of anxiety accompanied by being very reliant on those around him, struggling to be independent.

A boy is born in Maine, left with his single father. It was just the 2 of them, getting by, until Evan's father met a woman called Angela Richards, and the two married.
chapter 2.
Evam's stepmother never adored him like a mother should, being more preoccupied with her own 3 daughters and her wealth moreso than her new son. So, Evan slowly slipped through the cracks. He had the smallest room, the least furniture, and the least attention.
Evan's stepsisters didn't like him all that much, either. Normal sibling quarrels turned into genuine fights which Evan was always punished for. Slowly, he started to become a rug for his family to walk on.

In elementary school, Evan met a girl named Noelle. She was like him -- with a similar home life and similar personalities. The two got incredibly close, seeing each other as an escape from their stressful home life.
Over time, Evan started to get more and more popular at his school. He joined the band in middle school, joined academic clubs, and helped others with their homework. He finally found a place for himself -- at school rather than at home.
Evan also discovered something new about himself -- that he was bisexual. Noelle was the only one to know, due to his fears of being in a small town and everyone knowing. Nonetheless, he started to have little crushes on the guys around him, never equating to much of anything, until...
chapter 4?
In junior year of high school, Evan became a drum major alongside his best friend Noelle. This year, someone caught his eye. Cash Adler, the percussion section leader in the band that he had to work with during marching band. And also, the complete opposite of him.
Slowly, his normal looking turned into a full-fledged crush, and when the two were paired in a group project in his physics class, Evan was happy to get to know Cash better, and, who knows, maybe the two would make it farther than expected...
