Indigo grew up with rather strict parents who always wanted him to achieve and be perfect. They always put pressure on him to do well in school and behave like a gentleman, and they greatly disapproved of a lot of his interests. Because of this, Indigo began to rebel against them by doing things such as adopting a punk aesthetic, becoming a kleptomaniac, and sneaking out (usually with his best friend Randy)to do something reckless.

Once Indigo became an adult he quickly moved out of his parents to live on his own in an apartment. He then joined a heavy metal band called Undercut that was started by his friend Pandora, and played drums for the band. He loves getting to make music with his friends/band mates and loves playing for others. When not at band practice, he likes to hang out with his friends Randy, Kenji, and Kenzo. They'll watch tv together, go out for drinks, or do something random and impulsive (much to Kenji's dismay).

Indigo also soon began developing feelings for Kenji, but was nervous of telling him how he felt about him. Then one night when the friend group got drunk, Indigo was filled with drunk courage and went in for a kiss with Kenji, and the two made out. The next day, the two try to figure out each other's feelings and see if they should date. In the end they do get together
