Lún Hóngliú (倫弘瀏)

First created as supporting character for a personal project between I and my classmate. Hongliu used to be a stock character to talk the main characters up, idolize and praises them, but he was later upgraded into a main character himself in campaign STGH and began to take the story in his own hands.

Villager of a ruined dock town, his parents were believed to have drowned by the lake monster's doing, so Hongliu naturally despite the beast ever since he learnt that truth from his guardian. Though the town was being terrorised and ransacked by monsters, he still has a somewhat fun childhood with the villager children - whose family situation were also similar to his, and grew up into a mischevious young kid. His health was not in the best condition due to him having multiple allergies to food, including milk, seafood and peanut - which was already scarced to begin with - causing his frustrated aunt who didn't want any children to commented that he won't live for long.

At 9 years old, Wang Ling came to his village and slain the infamous monster, achieving the villager's appreciation and respect with the title great mage. Hongliu was also in awe with the stranger and had clung to him ever since, claiming the man as his master and nagged Ling to teach him the martial art and magic he had used to slain the beast. Ling reluctantly accepted after Hongliu has bribed his way in with his childish adoration and admiration for the hero. Although when it's time to learn, Hongliu was always slacking off, so it's more likely that the quality time hanging out with his idol was what Liu was aiming for. Ling still shows no mercy when it came to literacy lessons and physical exercises though, with the help of his out-of-nowhere newly hired macho man servant. As Ling helped to rebuild the town to its old glorious self, Hongliu volunteered to participated in everything that he's qualified for, and had even said that the time spent with Ling was happier than all of the hide-and-seek sessions he'd had before with his peers.

Hongliu - being severely deprived of familiar love, saw Wang Ling who was kind and heroic as someone dear and close, even more so than his own blood relative, and was extremely protective of his master.

Howerver, those peaceful days would come to an end when Wang Ling fell ill to an unknown disease that slowly took away his five senses. Hongliu did everything he could to helps cure his master, he searched high and low, traveled to dangerous terrain for magical medicines and healers, but all effort was rejected by the hero of the town. Ling knew his death was inevitable, and a product of his own karma. He only wanted his few last days to be spent with his found family. Hongliu saw this as giving up and was hurt deeply. Couldn't bear to see the one he admire withered away day by day like that, Hongliu started to avoid Ling and plunge into work, ignoring any request to meet from his master.

Ling passed away without seeing his disciple ever again. Hongliu, in a dazed state of mind cause by his grief and fears toward illness and separation, didn't even register his master's death even during his funeral, the pain only set in after he accidentally passes by his late master's home, only to be staring in a pitch black window that they used to talk to each other through.

Ling's servant-turn-partner Tanlang blame Hongliu's lack of visiting is the reason that caused his master anguish in his last days, and shame him into travelling alone to bring Wang Ling's ashes back to his hometown. Hongliu angrily complied, but the journey turn into a year long detour when the child was finally left alone with his emotions, he turned it into a final adventure with his master, marks the start of STGH campaign.

Hongliu arrived at the city of Zhangan with his late master's urn and many belongings on his trusty horse. There he visited a fortune teller's stall, and was given the prophecy of "Dividing Yin and Yang". Hongliu put this behind his head and applied for some gigs at the nearby job agency for travel budget, and did laundry task for a few days, meeting new friends such as the agency owner's son and the workers there. The teen was later invited to the agency's banquet, and got pulled into a weird fight with tribes people and a gigantic anaconda, after he'd fell into a coma and was given some superpower by a mystery old man.

Hongliu with his new spirit companion Muxi join in an adventure to collect the broken pieces of the Heavenly Emerald Jade. In a fight with the bbeg at Baihu's Abyss Jungle, the teen sacrifices himself to save his imprisoned comrades, his memories broken after being rescue by them, creating a new identity that would later be know as Hongliu 2.0 by the players, more distant to his own inner turmoils. He was given the option to retrive his old self many time but had refused to do so, believing forgetting everything will be better for him and for the mission.

After the battle, he study capentry and currently manages a group of builders and carpenter, selling insurance to local businessess that suffer from vandalizing by kungfu fanatics around the part. Likes to commission artists to make art of hot guys so he can hang it up in the store, and would give special treatments to the said kungfu fanatics if the man is cute enough. Retire from his job and got married when he hits his 40s.

Canon BE Hongliu: Join Fei Bang Pai and became a cultivator on his journey to spread his master's ashes. Hongliu discovered Wang Ling and Tanlang's true identity: the culprit who murdered his parents and the true dragon of the dock town. He turned into a murderhobo swear to eradicate all magical beasts after massacre his whole town filled with monsters disguising as human.

Alt BE Hongliu: Forced to join Xiao Shi Men after being betrayed by Muxi. Hongliu is functionally dead inside and was only being motivated by his fears of being killed, injected by his old comrade in the main campaign now turn into his new master. Later leaks gun blueprints everywhere to fuck with everyone and start a war between human and cultivators.

Hijacked BE Hongliu: Possessed by Muxi to expands the Wang's bloodline. His conscious being supressed, never to surge up again.
