Make way for an important engine!
James often looks down on Thomas for operating a small tank engine, though he's had it handed to him a couple times for underestimating the younger man. The two have butted heads as friendly rivals since James arrived on the Main Line.
Edward gets teased a lot by James for being the one of oldest in the Steam Team, though it mostly comes from a place of jealousy. James is too stubborn to admit that he appreciates ol' Eddie's hard work...
Him, Henry and Gordon make up the three operators of the largest engines. The Big Three are often seen talking amongst themselves. They can be a bit snooty towards their coworkers, and James loves feeling superior to his peers.
Percy loves playing jokes on James, to the older man's dismay. He sees him on a similar note to Thomas, but his smaller stature makes Percy a prime target for James' teasing and bullying.
