For the current generation, this means cursed seaweed hair and a useless tail in their mer form. Due to difficulty of living your life underwater when currents dictate your goings, and due to the judgement people often cast to the descendants of the ones disliked by the sea witch, his family has been living on land for generations. His family has a small potions business since they make their legs potions themselves and amassed quite the specialized experience over time. 

Now, Amán! He’s the wettest cat, rivals even Idia in anxiety. His worst nightmare was to be assigned to Octavinelle and yet here he is… He’s a janitor for the Mostro Lounge. He stutters. He wants to hide his face behind his hair but most of all he wants to hide his hair. He wears hoods a lot, which are not approved uniform wear… His hair smells like a beached whale tbh, but good plant-hair care and perfumes can go a long way.
