“HEAD PAIN, BLOOD IS BOILING! THIS TASTE, SO ABSURD! THIS ODDITY, THE FURY, RISING HIGHER! HIGHER, HIGHER! … Oh, wow, that is indeed relieving. Forgive me for raising my voice… This concoction of yours is much appreciated. What was that you said about family?”
"I know what it's like to destroy a family... granted, I don't think you wanted that outcome. Here, I've got an elixir that should take care of those headaches. Take it for free as a sympathy present."
“I cannot tell you why I am as tall as I am, but maybe we can figure it out someday? Regardless… A pleasure to meet you. I would recommend you be wary of me. Sometimes I, well…get a little untamed.”
"H-how did you get so tall? I thought I was tall growing up but seeing you... wow. What'd they feed you?!? Oh, I forget to introduce myself! Sorry, where are my manners? My name is Danamin, pleasure to meet you my tall friend."
“Kym’in is very wise when it comes to dealing with the wilderness. I trust his judgement. He was not afraid to compare me to a rabid beast, but that is something I cannot blame him for…”
“A strange man with a curious eye. I’ve witnessed his rage firsthand. Almost reminds me of the kinds of beasts I’ve run into over the years… Despite that, he seems to be a decent fellow.”
“You are a cruel and greed-fueled man. I would rather not stand near you, as doing so just creates… It creates…IT CREATES… FURY!”
“What a wretched thing you are, Corphanis. Not only a half-breed, but a half-curse. Undesirable in the worst ways. Keep yourself in check. A wild beast like you should be kept in chains.”
“Vestalar is a respectable man, even if he is a little…cranky. Something about him does make me nervous. Not in a bad way, of course… He seems quite intelligent. I would hate to appear as a fool before him.”
“Part of me is curious about Corphanis’ eye. What secrets does it contain? What power does it possess? I must study this one closely.”
“You need not worry, strange one — though I suppose calling you strange is rich coming from someone like me. I do apologize…”
"Death resonates upon you like a thick fog.... you poor thing." In a moment of genuine sympathy, she frowns at you and the life returns to her eyes before she quickly turns her attention to the undead cat at her feet, curling its bone tail around her leg.
“I feel an odd connection with you, sir. After all, we fell quite far from our graces…”
“I hate to be compared to someone else, but I see our situations to be nearly similar. How far we’ve fallen, indeed… Just don’t lose yourself and do something stupid. I could put your strength to work.”
“Kaidos, you’re oddly kind to someone like me. I am not complaining, of course. Your presence does make my issues a little easier to deal with…”
“Your story is a fascinating one; but more than anything, it does sadden me. I can only hope you can find the peace you need, my friend.”
Corphanis smiled, seeming to appreciate Mayan’s kindness. “You are very generous, Myaan. I appreciate it. Something about you does truly calm my nerves. And well… I’ll certainly get back to you on all of those things, yes?”
“A shame that such a curse afflicts a kind and handsome man as yourself. As long as we are traveling together, I’ll do what I can to ease your frustrations. We can talk about it or sing together.” Myaan lowered the volume of her voice for her last offer, a suggestive tone present. “Or anything else you may want to try.”
“I’m quite flattered, but I must tell you…riling me up can be a little…dangerous? It may be in your best interest to leave me be.”
"You're cute, I could find myself getting lost in your gaze for hours. If you're not opposed to it.. maybe we could have dinner and a bit of fun at a later date?"
“At this point, I’ll try anything. Thank you, Madame Rockswift, for your kind offer. Whenever you have the time, I would like to learn more of these techniques…”
"Hey, are you okay? You know, the monks taught me a ki focusing technique to calm the mind.. I could show it to you if you think it'd help."
"You're awfully considerate. I know you mean well, no worries... Tea would be quite nice, actually."
"I get the feeling you hate being fussed over but seriously, those headaches are no good. Want me to make you some tea or something?"
"Your heroic tales thrill and excite me! They are unlike any I have ever heard, truly. I don't feel angry in the slightest... Your charm seems to really soothe me. I am so truly honored to have the great Razor of Candor by my side."
"Oh, my poor friend, what an affliction to have! My heart goes out to you and those you have lost. I take it that nothing is left of your home? Nothing valuable?"
"You are certainly unique, but who am I to judge when I look like this?" Corphanis smiled, managing to suppress any anger in the moment. "You are welcome here, my friend... Just be cautious with me. I do have an unfortunate curse..."
"You know.... I once met this one-eyed ogress. You remind me of her, though you're clearly much better looking!" He falls over from laughing, nearly bringing himself to tears.
Corphanis frowned, eying the Drow with slight disgust. His dark eye twitched the longer he stared at her. “I could use it… I could use it RIGHT NOW… If I must.”
"I too destroyed my home, you should be proud to have cleansed them of their weakness. That eye of yours is powerful. You'd be a fool not to use it to your advantage."
“Forgive me for shouting at you earlier and breaking the grindstone, Miss B’lelu… My eye was making me lose control. Had you not tackled me to the ground, who knows what I could have done next…”
“I can imagine that controlling such an accursed eye is not an easy feat. I can only ask you to do your best to keep yourself together… I will be here to tackle you again if need be.” B’lelu managed a small smile when she noticed Corphanis give her one.
Corphanis said nothing, his fists clenching as he tried to control his eye's temperment.
"Your curse is one that I find amusing. A fitting punishment for the likes of you. A shame that it did not take you with it."
“How similar we are…” Corphanis sighed, feeling a previous rush of anger within him be forced back down. A smile crept onto his face. “A few companions have offered me cures, but alas, they are only temporary. This devil eye is not easy to tame… Tell me… How do you do it?”
He looks at the man and chuckles. "Heh. Seems that we're down with the same affliction. Have you found a cure or anything that helps you yet?" He looks down at the ground glumly as he contemplates the small things that have assisted him in controlling the magic in his veins.
"You have no need to wonder, my lady. Your assumption is correct... I admit, I am still seeking the best way to control it..."
"Your martial strength is to be commended though your style lacks control and refinement... One would wonder if that eye of yours has anything to do with it..."
"You too have a curse... I must say that I envy you, Zurran. You have taken such great control over it! I must learn your secrets."
"Our curses are ones of similar nature but of different origin. I could offer words of what I have done to lessen the pain...but I have no guarantee that such things will work for you."
“CREATURE. BEAST, BEAST, DEMON! BLOOD, AND BONE, AND SLAUGHTER! TEAR THE DEVIL, CRUSH THE SKULL!” Corphanis huffed and lifted his heavy blade, seemingly ready to strike Kakion.
Kakion’s anger flared and his rage burst in seconds. He raised his blades. “You are mere flesh in bone, SKIN TO TEAR AND BODY TO DESTROY! I’LL FLAY YOU ALIVE AND FEED ON YOUR REMAINS! DIE, DIE!”
