“Ooo, you’re a little spooky. I don’t think you’re scary though. Are you feeling all right?” Yaphi’s smile soon changed to surprise after she realized something. “Wait, wait… You’re the big boy from the Underdark! Oh! You must tell me about it!”
Ryldmyr scoffed and stared at her with slight disdain. Though, in reality, he did not really seem to mind this one. He did find her curiosity just a little endearing, oddly enough. Still, he kept his disposition. “Your curiosity is commended. There is far more I can teach you too.”
“Big and sweet, that’s what you are. And handsome! We can trade stories, hm? Tell me about all of the slugs in Baldur’s Gate and I’ll tell you about the ones here!”
“You’re a very sweet girl. Thank you for your hospitality. You live a very unique lifestyle… I am quite curious about your day to day.”
“Mmm. You have a grumpy face. Are you tired? Hungry? I can fix all of that for you, you know.” She smiled. “I’m Yaphi! Who are you? I like all of those weird tattoos on your face.”
“That smell…is that— is that YOU, girl?” Khatar stepped away a little, a mild look of disgust on his face. “You are…unlike anyone I have ever seen. Are you a Tiefling? Or something else entirely?”
“Oh, Kym-Kym! I’m glad you’ve made time to visit again! You must tell me about your recent hunts, please? I have some stuff ready for you to take on your next journey. You’re the best hunter ever, so you need the goods!”
“You’re an odd one. Truly odd; but not out of place. You belong here in the wilds, Yaphi, as you care for it — and for that, they care for you in return. I will be sure to find you should I need some care. That and…your soup is quite delectable.”
"Oh! Ohhh, she is so pretty! The prettiest Dragonborn I've ever seen! And she is so nice to me. I need to find some nice mushrooms for her. As a gift!"
"Yaphi is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. I would do anything to protect her. Literally. She may smell like algae and old mud, but she has the biggest heart I've ever seen."
Yaphi frowned and stepped back upon seeing this Drow again. He wasn’t nice to her the first time, and frankly, he frightened her. “Um… Need medicine? Or…”
“One of the most baffling creatures I have ever seen. Is that a Tiefling or a sentient mass of algae? It smells like one. Hells, does it ever stop talking? A blade pointed at it ought to shut its mouth.”
“But you look so tired! And I have so much to ask!”
Vestalar’s nose scrunched as a bothersome, earthy smell hit his nose. He sighed after realizing who was behind him. “No, I’m not sick — and I’m not answering anymore questions.”
“You remind me of a pretty thing. Pretty pink thing! You’re like if a pink oyster mushroom had legs, and that is a dream come true! I’m calling them Helvyres from now on.”
"Oh.... I see they'll let just about anyone roam this world. You are... not the ugliest creature I've seen but the stench coming off of you... Just putrid."
“An adventure?! You wish to take me?! ME?!” Yaphi’s hand hovered over here mouth as she held a look of surprise. It was clear to see how excited she was at the invitation. “An adventure! How…adventurous! Tell me more about this forest, please…! Nothing is more tempting than good mud!”
"Yaphi! Would you care to go on an adventure with me? I heard of this forest where there's lots of fey flying around. Maybe we'll find you some enchanted mud to play with!"
Yaphi seemed excited. After all, she easily misinterpreted anything coming out of this man’s mouth. “Not by yourself then? Oh! You like to roll in the mud with friends then?! Me too!!”
"I'll admit, I'm not the biggest fan of the mud but for a beautiful lady like yourself... well I'm not opposed to getting a little dirty."
Yaphi could not help but be a little bashful, but her friendly smile never left her face. She had never seen a Gith before, especially one like this. “You’re an amazing sight…! You’re like…a Frog Princess! You’re so perfect, wow!” She meant well.
"Tell me, what exactly is a frog?" She pulls out a piece of parchment and begins to inscribe it with Githyanki runes. "You must have interesting stories to tell. I'd love to hear what all about you, my... muddy friend!"
“Oh, you’re always so nice to me! I have lots of new things to test out, lucky for you! Now, I think you might want to hold your breath or pinch your nose.”
"Miss Yaphi, can I assist you with something?" He raises an eyebrow and straightens his posture as he notices the dirt and dry leaves covering her hands. "Look, just... keep it away from my face and I'll let you test your salve on me, okay?"
“A Nymph? I’m no Nymph, silly boy.” Yaphi smiled, a friendly look in her eyes. “Aww, you’re so cute! Listen, listen, I’m not going to hurt you, promise! You look tired. And sweaty. I have a remedy for all those things. Come with me, I’ll take care of that!”
"Wait, wait, wait. Are you a Nymph?" He looks up at Yaphi and wipes the sweat from his brow, he knew he shouldn't have walked into the forest on his own! "I'm sure you're lovely but if you aren't, please don't kill me!"
“You have strange friends. Decaying friends, but don’t worry — some of the best things in this world are born from decay. You should be proud of them!” Yaphi smiled, a genuine friendliness about her.
"My friends.... would you like for them to become your friends as well..?"
“Oh, you like it?! You like it! You’re a really nice lady. I’ll bring you a snail for being so nice to me.”
"Darling, you've got a little something right... everywhere." Verona pauses for a second and places her hands on her hips. "Well, everyone has their own style. If this is yours then I'd say you're doing a good job!"
“A salt lake?! Like a lake made of salt?! Or is it salt made of lake? How would that work? Only one way to find out! I want to see!”
"So, I know your whole thing is bogs and mud and other gross stuff but!" He excitedly puts his hands up and shakes them. "How would you feel about visiting a salt lake?"
“I LIKE YOU, BLUE GUY! You are the COOLEST man on the whole earth place! Please, please, please! Tell me more about your adventures! Have more soup, I made the whole pot for you!”
“You’re too kind, my dear, but I don’t think I could stomach another bowl of soup. No, really, I can’t eat another bite! Wait—“
“You’re a nice lady. So nice, soooooo nice. I like you! I like your stories and I want to hear more! Please come by anytime!”
"Such an adorable young lass, sweet as honey too, and quite gifted I might say! Any time I've stopped by you've made it a very pleasant experience. I owe you another story the next time I come around!" Ferris smiles at the other.
"Mushrooms that will...eat me?! Not if I eat them first!" Yaphi puffed out her chest, as well as her cheeks.
"You know, it might not compare to that of the Underdark but there's giant fungi in the feywilds as well! You just have to be careful or they'll eat you." He laughs as if the concept of being digested slowly by a mushroom is a fun experience.
"You look a little tired, friend. I know, I know, some of Yaphi's yummy mushroom soup will do the trick! Yaphi is me, by the way. Oh, but really, look at you! You should eat something before you look more like a zombie!"
“What? Do I really look that skinny? Oh…”
Yaphi stared at the intense woman, feeling intimidated by her presence. She just seemed…a little mean. “Um, um… Okay. I’ll go… Maybe.”
"What is a creature like you doing down here?" She looks over Yaphi and notices her wooden gear, immediately deducing that she is a Druid. "The myconid colony is that way." She points to the left with the intention of leading Yaphi right to a Duergar settlement.
“You saved me, froggy queen!” Yaphi smiled and hopped over toward her. “You’re nice. I’m going to make you a soup pouch! It’s like a pouch that you keep soup in.”
“You are a unique one, young Druid. I warn you to be more cautious with strangers… Those strange men who tried to lure you with promises did not have good intentions for you.”
“I know berries! I know many berries! I can show you where all of them are.” She excitedly takes his arm and pulls him along. She noticed the twigs in his hair. “I like your style!”
"Oh! You look like you know a thing or two about nature. Could you show me where to find raspberries?" His hair is messy with leaves and sticks tangled in it, implying that he had tripped while navigating the forest.
