Profile

*Pardon the mess, just jotting some notes here* (I really should organize all of these)

Xiyun was born the daughter of a merchant family. Her parents were by no means wealthy but they were able to live well and were a happy family. As traders, Xiyun's family often traveled in a caravan to sell goods and acquire new merchandise.

During one caravan ride, they were ambushed. While public record claims that the culprits were bandits looking to rob the caravan killed the merchants and dumped their bodies in an unknown location. The truth was that an outlaw group of mages kidnapped the caravan. These mages were studying forbidden arts, particularly hybridization; the process of splicing the dna and attributes of one species into another. Since there were no documented cases of successful hybridization on individuals past puberty, Xiyun's parents and the other adults were used as guinea pigs for other monstrous experiments. Xiyun and the other children had their dna spliced with that of a Sea Dragon the mages captured. Most of the children died painfully, with Xiyun and one other child surviving the transformation. The other child, however, was taken away at some point for additional experimentation.

Xiyun arms and legs became covered in blue scales. Her nails were now talons capable of cutting flesh and bone. Her brown eyes turned into an icy blue with slit pupils. Her muscles boasted strength several times larger than her child size would suggest. She obtained the ability to breath underwater, however, she would always describe the feeling as extremely unpleasant and would rather hold her breath. Additionally, she found that she could modify the temperature of water that came into contact with her body.

The parents of the dragon came and put a stop to the mages experiments and rescue their son. Unfortunately by that point the Sea Dragon had succumbed to the barbaric conditions he was kept in and passed. They discovered Xiyun and noticed that she shared the eyes and scales of their son. Matsu, the male dragon decided that she would be their grandaughter, much to the objection of Iara, his mate. Matsu took the child and raised her near the sea for several years. Over this time, Xiyun was educated on the history of hybridization and the relationship between humanoids and dragons. Once Xiyun turned 16, Matsu and Iara left and returned to their home in the sea. Matsu bade his granddaughter farewell, and prompted her to return to human civilization.

Xiyun did as requested, only to find discrimination and hate wherever she went. While she could cover her scales, she could not always hide her eyes. No matter, how she tried, people always discovered her true form and she would be met with stones and swords. Even when a family would treat her well, they would be forced to cast her out of fear for their own safety if they were allowed to live at all. Eventually, Xiyun was fed up and responded to violence with violence. She killed and maimed anyone who stood in her way. She became a bandit and proudly displayed her draconic heritage. Why should she be ashamed? Why should she bow to humans? They are weaker than her. They are inferior.

Eventually knights were dispatched to take her in. It took several attempts before a group was able to subdue her. She was imprisoned and scheduled for execution until someone hatched the idea to use her as either a test subject or weapon. At the horror of potentially being made a test subject again, Xiyun volunteered to be a living weapon.

Some time later, a prison break occurred and Xiyun used the opportunity to escape. During her escape she met and defeated the hired mercenary, Ventus.
