Valkyrie, Warrior of Odin
In Norse mythology, Sigrdrifa is a valkyrie, one of Odin's warriors who guide the souls of dead warriors to Odin's hall, Valhalla. Sigrdrifa is sometimes believed to be an epithet of Brynhildr, the scorned lover of Siegmund. Other sources state that Sigrdrifa was a synonym to the word Valkyrie. Sigrdrifa means "victory-inciter".
