He has lived most his life in the spirit realm with his parents, as the Prince of the spirits, he grew up believing he was forbidden from interacting with mortals. His parents would tell him that the mortals would try to manipulate and use him for their own greed should he ever interact and accept them. 

Despite their warnings, his curiosity would only grow as he grew older. He would travel and spend time with Nimue, who would teach him about the world and tell him about the adventures she had when she was younger. She would tell him anything he wanted to know, but she would also uphold the Queens decree that he shouldn’t interact with mortals or visit towns.

He would quickly become close with Chamomile due to this, as they would sneak into towns and visit festivals together, Chamomile allowing him to experience the beauty of the mortal realm and the culture theyve developed.
Alberich would fall in love with Mortals, seeing the beauty in their complexity and diversity.

Once he was older, it would be revealed to him that the reason his parents had tried to keep him away from the mortal realm was because they blamed mortals for the corruption of Deianira, and feared he might follow a similar path.
