inventor of llawebots , the head of llawes' robotics division is a relaxed, gentle individual with a fantastic eye for design and a desire to make each new creation an improvement on the last.
'planned obsolescence' is generally a phrase that incites dicomfort and anger - for bast, they take it head on, instead 'planning for obsolescence'. they figure: needs and wants change all the time - better to be ready with the next thing to meet those needs, instead of struggling to patch older things that cant meet them.
permanency, then, is something quite intimidating to bast. that feeling of being stuck - unable to change or improve? true horror.
a wonder, then, that they're the one who invented something that could be described as a phone you can form an emotional bond with - something you'll grow attached to and not want to replace. but then, maybe that explains why they're built with customisation and alteration in mind from the start..
