Vinny is either the warmest, brightest, most loyal optimist who'll stop at nothing to make you feel alright, or he's the most annoying, pedantic little bitch of a person you've ever been cursed to meet. They don't mind either way, so long as they live in your mind rent-free.
If he likes you, he will do anything to keep it that way; He'll give you the shirt off his own back, bake cookies and laugh about life at 3am if you called, and love and defend you until the end of time.
If he doesn't like you, he'll do anything to keep it that way too. The worst thing you can do is express how much he bothers you, because he will only get worse and you'll probably get bitten (Don't worry; His lycanthropy is not contagious). But he's not closed-minded either. Plenty of people have gone from enemy to friend, and vice versa. However he feels, he'll let it be known.
To those who are in too early for him to decide how he feels- Vinny is bright, very sociable, ambitious, has no filter whatsoever, has a very intense yet unpredicatable moral code, and has a talent for memorising and exploiting the shit out of any law or rule he comes across. They love as easily as they breath, but his love language is verbal abuse and play fighting, so keep that in mind. Like his adoptive parents, he loves humanity and everyone's flawed perfection, and takes his stewardship role very seriously.
Only a few people know of Vinny's lycanthropy. As far as most are concerned, he's a human who was fostered (and then adopted) due to (almost) unmanagable behavioural and aggression issues that required specialist support, and eventually developed better coping mechanisms and emotional regulation. The local conspiracy theorists are certain he's a monster and his adoptive parents are working with Satan to destroy them all (They're only half correct. And the rest of the street are just embarrassed that the lovely gay couple in the bookshop and their clearly neurodivergent son are being accused of such crimes. Vinny thinks it's hilarious.)
History
Young child (0-4)
Vinny doesn’t have a lot of memories or his first home or his birth parents, but he sometimes recalls playing in the mud puddles while his parents work on the small holding. He remembers crawling into the duck shed to open the door when the lock was broken. He remembers, somewhat, that birds will fight wolves to the death if they get to close and almost always win. (In hindsight, this was probably just to make sure he didn’t spook the birds in his wolf form).
He doesn’t know why his parents sold his soul to a demon. In truth, he was dangerously close to death throughout his development, and his parents were desperate enough to make a deal with a stranger that would give him a new, but cursed life. It was far from ideal, but it didn’t matter what their child looked like once a month, he would always be loved, and the life he’d receive would be well-lived. True to their word, Baby Vinny was unconditionally loved and cared for, regardless of form. He was generally a happy baby and toddler, insatiably curious and loved talking to anyone about anything.
Then, when Vinny was 4, his parents died. He doesn’t remember how. With no other family to take care of him, Vinny was placed in a carehome. He couldn’t cope with the sudden change and loss in his life, and became restless and uncooperative with others. When he eventually turned, he’d be attacked out of fear, and would either fight back or run away. He’d eventually get taken to a different carehome, but none were prepared to take care of a werewolf/ monster/ beast. Month after month, his aggression, fear and deep-seated hatred and fear of himself grew worse. Those who could care for or help manage his behavioural issues would only keep him on until they labelled him as a geuine, literal monster, and so Vinny made no attempt to improve himself or bond with others. He didn’t want to be a monster, but began to accept that he’d never be anything else.

Trivia & Design Notes
- Their hair is always duel-tone, no matter the length
- He is a soft summer, so he likes to wear muted, cool colours
- His wolf-form is approx. the size of a brown bear. And his human-form is 6' 4"
- Thomas Brodie-Sangster faceclaim (The actor who never looks his age, that guy)
- Due to regenerative powers, they can't get tattoos or piercings without them healing within hours. They are very upset by this
- Vinny goes by Ivee (their middle name) when they present more femininely, which still shortens to Vee (What friends refer to them by)
- Vinny loves eating, especially after a transformation. His favourite food is lamb kebab
- She's low-key addicted to caffeine
- He has very sensitive senses, especially hearing and smelling -He can scent emotions and eventually learnt what 'lying' smells like, which is very useful during a cross-examiantion
- He is a fantastic ballet dancer- If he hadn't have become a lawyer, he would have pursued dancing
- Despite being a demon, Vinny gets very tired and disorientated if he doesn't sleep after a few days (This was hell during University)
- He works part-time in the bookshop, but is yet to be promoted to have selling privileges. Instead, he's encouraged to be as annoying as possible to deter customers.
- They have intense separation anxiety and abandonment issues. They still persisted into adulthood, but they try to hide it a lot more.
