Profile
Stickneedle, previously named stick, was an outdoor kittypet who stumbled across the clan's in search of a more exciting home. The she-cat felt that she had found exactly what she was looking for- because of this she fit right in with the rest of the clan, enjoying carrying out her duties as a warrior. She quickly learned to form dens out of bracken and learned the technique of hunting as a warrior.
Stickneedle was with Hollowleaf when she came across Burnstripe, a former warrior of Spring Clan. The two brought him back to the camp, and he was accepted back into the clan. Stickneedle found it easy to be friends with Burnstripe as he was personable and she could relate to the aspect of having to proove yourself to others. Quietpelt treated Burnstripe and Stickneedle with great dislike. Similar to Burnstripe, Stickneedle didn't let this get her down. Stickneedle continues to fill out her warrior duties with pride, despite what others may think of her.
To her surprise, over the next few moons Quietpelt began to invite her on herb gathering patrols. They were awkward at first, but slowly a mutual respect began to grow between the two she-cats. Being new to clan-life, Stickneedle didn't have quite as much respect for the rules as other cats. She began lingering around the Winterclan border to meet up with Coyotewish. She would birth 3 kits on moon 11, but gave them up to him to take back to Winterclan. Her and Coyotewish agreed not to tell their kits that Stickneedle was their mother. She'd ask about how they were doing at gatherings and even met them when they became apprentices and were finally old enough to come to gatherings.
Stickneedle had the honor of her first apprentice being the son of Rushstar, Splashpaw. There was nothing paticularly noteworthy about Splashpaw's apprenticeship other than he was rather brave. After a couple moons, she learned at a gathering that Frigidflood had passed away due to an infected cat bite. Stickneedle was disheartened, but her distance from her kits made it easier to get over her death.
When Lightglare died, Stickneedle was shocked, but became even more shocked when she was chosen as the next deputy. She never imagined she'd be in a position like this and be so important to so many cats. But she accepted the role and even stood in for Rushstar at a gathering or two while she grieved. Stickneedles life became exponentially more eventful after this, as she became very close with a she-cat who had recently joined the clan by the name of Shadowstripe. Splashpaw would graduate and become Splashdawn, and then 7 moons later she would recieve Batpaw as an apprentice. Batpaw was only her apprentice for a short time as he had done most of his training in Summerclan. Finally after about 9 months of getting to know one another, Shadowstripe and Stickneedle become mates. The two she-cats were able to bond over shared experiences of previously being outside the clans.
Stickneedle and her mate decided they they would like to raise a litter together, but where would they get such a gift? One day while patroling the border by the twoleg place, Stickneedle ran into a pregnant kittypet. They got to talking and they kittypet agreed to give her kits to Stickneedle and Shadowstripe once they were weaned. The kits were born on moon 54 and were able to come live with Springclan on moon 58. They decide to name them Iciclekit and Wispkit. Shadowstripe retires 2 moons later and decides to spend that time raising her kits. When it was time for them to become apprentices, Rushstar took Iciclepaw and Skyrise took Wisppaw.
