Most of 28's origin is unknown, but they were a street racer at one point--though people generally only learn about from off-handed comments. Learning anything else about them or even how they got the scene is like pulling teeth. They're a bit rough around the edges, cold and blunt most of the time, excluding people they're comfortable with. They're built like they can take a punch and throw it right back--and has. However, they never go out of their way to start a fight nor start beef for they just want to race, man. However, if someone starts a fight, they will end it.

In the professional racing scene, they're noteworthy for exclusively drive under the number 28 and they stick to being called their race number instead of their name. They've been known to fight on the behalf for the radio crew, especially if someone decides to be an asshole to the crew on or off radio. Much to the chagrin of their manager especially, they pull ridiculous stunts to save their ass in a race. In NASCAR specifically, they're known to piss off the older timers, a lot.

REDLINE

James Shimoji (Redline OST)

notes.

  • Born with a white streak in their hair.
  • Will never explain how they got the scars on their face, however received them before arriving to the pro scene.
  • Definitely has played for pink slips in his street racing career. Has too many cars from it. Though, their own personal vehicles they use tends to be older gen cars. Some they've received from these races.
  • Does not use social media, actively refuses to.
  • Absolutely knows Doug has a crush on them. In some settings (read most) they get together. In the ""canon"" one, they definitely do.
  • Has sacrificed their position in a race to save a fellow racer out of a wreck, despite the protests of the every one on the radio.
  • Racing is only a sport to them, in their mind, championships should not be worth people's lives.
  • F1: Drives for Red Bull. Even though they didn't start in IndyCar or F2/F3 before getting into the scene; still fairly impressive at what they do and at some instances hit first in a lot of races.
  • Stock Car / NASCAR: Drives with orange & black for car and suit colors, when possible.
