R afael is in a unique position that very few Sidereals experience in their life. Although she was born with a unqiue birthmark on her palm and a power of her own, on a quiet night in 2015, her powers completely stopped working. Having once used her powers for fangerous vigilante stunts, Rafael has since "retired" to being a bouncer at El Convento Rico, only rarely taking vigilante jobs.
But perhaps the supernatural life Rafael has thought she has lost creeps closer to her than she thought.

Rafael is best at fighting with nothing but her own body and fists. Even when she had her powers, she carefully honed her strength and fighting techniques until she's gotten strong enough to beat anything from a gang of men to killer robots. Nowadays she mainly uses her strength to kick out drunk idiots, but she never stops honing her abilities. Just in case.
Force Fields
The power Rafael once held as a Sidereal, granted by a star known only as N6946-BH1. She was capable of summoning force fields around any object or person that she could see, and adjust the size of said force fields with a simple clench or spread of her palms. Rivals of Rafael often claim she would enclose a force field bubble around an opponent's neck, then shrink the bubble to such a size that their head would crush.

Relations
Teo is a freuqent performer at El Convento Rico, and over the years they have gotten to know each other in that club. Teo's outgoing, extravagant personality brings out the best in Rafael's shier, stoic demeanor. The two have slowly blossomed a romance with each other, with Teo teaching Rafael the art of drag and sewing, and Rafael teaching Teo the art of fighting and cooking.
During Rafael's time as a vigilante, she has had numerous encounters with Faruq. Considering that Dr. Verity's robots, experiments and heists were often on Rafael's radar, it was inevitable that she would become enemies with the Doctor's bodyguard. With her retirement, they don't see each other anymore. Perhaps they both miss the thrill they brought to each other.
