BACKGROUND
| Lydia is born as the middle child out of three. However, for a very petty reason (She inherited looks from a relative no one liked), her family despised her and her very existence. As a result, she lived a very harsh life, whereas her other siblings basically had it the easiest, basically turning into spoiled brats. She was punished for little to no reason for times, it felt even breathing was a punishable sin by her parents. As a result, she would often find ways to just... not go back home, finding it more comforting to go to the forest next to her home, often spending hours being there. Exploring, admiring Nature and the animals, especially the wolves... It made her feel like she was in a real home. One day, her life would be changed forever, when, her parents outright attacked her when she was only around 12 years old. She fought back with all she had, but sadly, against two adults, she lost fast. However, as “punishment” for fighting back... Lydia gets hot water dumped on one side of her face, burning it harshly. She loses her hearing on that side and her sight becomes very limited as well. Her screams drew the attention of concerned neighbors, who called the police. The parents are arrested for abusing and neglecting Lydia, resulting in her and her siblings being sent to live with their grandparents. But, due to her past treatment, Lydia downright refuses to open up to her own grandparents and therefore, becomes a “problem” child, resulting in her also having a not so good relationship with her grandparents and even a worst one with her siblings. Having her burn heal into a “scar” also didn’t help, as she got bullied relentlessly for it. She began to cover that part of her face with bandages to hide it, sadly it didn’t help much either, as the teasing kept happening. As a result, Lydia completely closed herself off, swearing to never show her scar unless it was someone she could trust. When she was finally 18, she packed her bags and left, never looking back. She wanted out of this family and never wanted to contact any of them ever again. She lived basically as a drifter for a while, going place to place and wherever the path took her. Finally, she settles down in a small town who easily just welcomes her without questioning her bandages or anything. She was able to feel comfortable and for the first time, feel... welcomed and at home. However, she feels the urge to travel again and after a hard farewell, the young woman was off again, promising to come back and visit the town again one day. As she drives one night, her life would take an interesting turn, all due to a car accident she would end up being part of... |
