About
Miles grew up in the Mire about as happy as one could be in the Mire, hanging with friends and learning as much as he could about tech modding from his father. Everything seemed fine… until his life flipped upside down. His dad died due to a machine malfunction at work in the factories, and his mom was killed a few months later by the Patrol when a protest quickly turned into a riot.
His parents always told him to keep his head up and look at the bright side, so he did his best. Over the years he honed his knack for tech modding, making ends meet by stealing tech from Katoka and occasionally Hikari, revamping it, and selling it. He always wears his fox mask on his thieving runs, often called the Runner, but face to face he prefers to go by Miles.

Notes
- Often wears street fashion in orange, black, gray, or brown. Strays away from brighter colors.
- When going out as Runner, he wears an all black outfit with a few orange accents. He also wears a white fox mask with orange light-up accents.
- Extraordinarily fond of hoodies.
- Often around the apartment and sometimes outside, he wears his dad's old bomber jacket.
Personality
Miles tries to be the closest thing the Mire has to a sunshine beam. He tries to play as more serious and confident as Runner, but let's be real, he's still the same shy dork underneath.
Likes
Tech Modding
Every time he works on a mod, it reminds him of learning the basics with his dad as a kid. The fact that it makes him decent cash also helps his love for it.
BUD
He snagged an old Hollows trash bot, and after some fixing up and reprogramming, he's got BUD! A forever project, he wants to give BUD his best robotic life. He loves that ltitle guy! He'd do anything for him!
Thieving
It gives him an amazing adrenaline rush, man! Its how he gets the tech for his modding--only stealing from Katoka and Hikari pricks, of course. They wanna look down on the mire? He'll even the playing field a bit. Those shills only know him as Runner, because he always finds a way to get away.
Drawing
Originally a hobby he started to help plan out tech designs, now he's getting a lot more fun out of it! City scapes, cars, interesting people, and of course--tech mod ideas. Maybe he'll dip a toe into painting soon?
Dislikes
The Government/The System/Hikari Elites
What justified the way they treat others? They have some stupid superiority complex, because they're so 'perfect' according to a standard they set? He calls BS. Not that there's much he could do about it but gripe... He tries not to focus on negativity.

Petty, Violent, and Otherwise Shitty People
Especially those who take pride in that kind of behavior. Granted, good luck finding anyone in the Mire who didn't have some kind of criminal tendencies--he was a prime example--but he doesn't take joy in hurting others, and doesn't take well to those who do so without a care.
Cooking
I mean, it would be nice to learn! But the last few times he's tried, he's started small house fires!

Trivia
- Full honesty, when I was making Miles, I was looping In Time by DROELOE and Belle Doron . However, I feel Seconds fits him better as a character, but even then I'm not entirely settled on one.
- He doesn't drink much, and when he does, he usually sticks to beers. He's always been too nervous about trying other drinks.
- Loves cup noodles and fried cheese. Honestly, you have a good chance of spotting him at a nice noodle stand.
- He kinda has a hard time making friends, he's never quite gotten the grip on talking to people/maintaining conversations.
- He has absolutely no rizz. -3 rizz. This poor bean.
- Maybe the fox mask has a voice modulator? Honestly I still gotta figure out the fox mask and talk things over with Gilly and Dips
- He's not a fan of violence, but he keeps a semi-automatic pistol close by at all times. You never know when it might be necessary.
- BUD keeps Miles' fox mask and occasionally a sketchbook in his little door cubby.
- He's allergic to shellfish, and he's also claustrophobic.
- He's nervous of the concept of going under the knife, and of needles, so he doesn't get any mods/cybernetics. If it were medically necessary, though, he would wanna get something cool.

He made BUD because he was lonely, and wanted just a little project to work on and fill the void. But now BUD's so much more than that--he's Miles' best friend!
Karma
They met one night in The Nowhere Lounge, and quickly hit it off! Honestly Karma's the closest thing Miles has got to a human friend at this point (insert smiling sweating emoji here) but she's a great one to have! She calls him Jackson Pollock, but he calls her Draculaura, all in good fun!
