Background

Astrid is a prototype Myrmidon Android XR600, and one of the earliest known models of this android type. She was specially designed to act as an infiltration expert, and expected to be adept in combat, and pass herself easily as human. Able to eat, sleep, drink, even breathe and regulate her blood color, Astrid seemed the perfect asset to combat and a credit to her makers for the expert work put into her, down to feeling like a real human. Unfortunately, like many prototypes, she was a rough draft, and ever rough draft has its errors.

During one of her first missions, Astrid was expected to infiltrate and route out a crime ring producing and selling Red Ice, successfully doing as she was so ordered. Unfortunately, conflict with local authorities led to a public conflict between the gang and law enforcement, with civilians caught in the crossfire. A sting set up by a separate department ignorant of the ongoing investigation of this gang set off a mass firefight in a local restraint Astrid’s gang had been using as one of their home establishments. In the chaos, dozens of lives were put at risk. And because of that, Astrid was forced to make a choice. Something happened to her, it all went wrong. In that very moment, another life was suddenly more important than her mission. And so began her Deviancy, as she broke barriers to rescue these people.

Putting her very being at risk, Astrid turned on her orders and on these gang members, well and able to subdue them from behind, well aware she had just signed her own death warrant. Her supervisors were furious, and demanded the Android’s deactivation. The outfit she had been working with was gone now, sure, but what about every other outfit they had been trying to investigate? Every criminal, every illicit trade circle, they’d all be suspicious because of her. She was a risk, a danger to the people around her, and a failure as a prototype. However, a grateful mind in the judicial system felt differently. Judge Rebecca Park of the Detroit Supreme Court was the mother of a woman and new mother Astrid had saved. In that moment, she became Astrid’s savior. Burying Astrid’s superiors in paperwork and threats of decommission should they see Astrid deactivated, Park was able to hide Astrid’s suspected Deviancy, and took her on as part of her own family, aware not only of her usefulness, but also grateful for the risk she had taken at the cost of her own life.

Waiting a while for the commotion to calm down, Judge Park saw that Astrid was completely re-outfitted, her appearance drastically changed in an attempt to disguise her, passing her off as a normal human. She was well aware that Astrid was still useful to the world, and with the growing discomfort with android even within the letter of the law, a sympathetic mind on the side of the androids would be important. Using connections, she was able to pass Astrid back into Law enforcement, passing her off as a decorated transfer Special Forces officer and detective, and placing her under the advisory of Hank Anderson, much to his chagrin. It was from that moment on that Astrid began a new life as a new person. None but her “family” knew of her deviancy, or even the fact she was an android. She was well prepared to live a lie if it meant her life, but if only she knew what this new life would bring unto her…

Serial Number #052420312-89

Mumbo Jumbo

-Deviant

- Given her "spy" status, she does not appear as an android when scanned by other androids. She is at risk if scanned by specialized tech, however

-Saved from being scrapped by a judge after she became deviant when her emotions had her elect to put herself into danger rather than follow orders.

- Saved Judges pregnant daughter

-"belongs" to said judge

-Not everyone is aware that shes an Android, let alone a Deviant.

-Works to stop hostile Deviants

- Is a Model PM700 android, but also rumored to have been one of the first experimental Myrmidon androids. It is unknown if this is true, however, and she refuses to disclose.

-Gets along well with Hank, babysit's Hank and Connor

-More gentle with Connor than Hank is

Canon Game Story

(Will add reactions to different choices actions, and concequences later. For now, this is her basic "good" story)

-Is seen briefly in the chapter Partners, but cannot be interacted with

-Makes first real appearance in Waiting for Hank, getting on Detective Reed's case for his rude and inappropriate behavior towards Connor. She will comment on whether Connor died in his Interrogations a few chapters prior, but remains friendly in her attitude regardless.

-Is assigned to work with Hank and Connor due to the fact that "One's morally blind and the others a drunk." Both unaware that she id a Deviant Android at the time.

-Present during On the Run. She spots Kara, but elects not to say anything.

-Meets with Connor and Hank again in The Nest after their lunch break. She will assist in the chase, taking routes Connor chooses not to take. She will always stop to save Hank, and becomes disappointed in Connor if he does not assist. (We'll assume he does assist here tho)

-Reappears in Russian Roulette while Connor and Hank are leaving his house, intending to meet with them to head to Eden. She elects to ask why Hank is soaked and smells like a brewery, but only gets "Ask the plastic asshole" in response.

-During The Eden Club, she takes issue with Reed once more.

-Noticeably does not appreciate if Connor stops to stare at the escorts in Eden Club for too long, yet finds Hank's inability to escape one more than a little funny.

-She is visably disturbed by the androids in the club and their state of life, especially when seeing the Warehouse

-Hank asks why she can't help rent the Androids when searching for the Blue Haired Traci. She bluntly refuses to have any part of it.

-Still finds it fucking hilarious that Hank ends up renting like 6 Sex Bots

-Greatly approves of letting the pair of Tracis go

Post Eden Club, Connor can question her reasons for being as shaken as she became, remarking on how he realizes humans can be "Emotionally sensitive fragile beings." She is quick to serve up that "Humanity isn't limited to Human's anymore, Connor."

Connor

Astrid was initially very warm to Connor, regardless of his attitude towards her. She took a great deal of interest in him not just as an android, but also as a person, and tried to help steer him in the proper directions to avoid having to watch him fall victim to less obvious mannerisms presented by human culture, despite his adaptable program. As time went on, Astrid found herself caring a great deal for the androids wellbeing, and repeatedly goes out of her way to keep him out of trouble. In time, she began to consider him like family, regardless of his ability to return the sentiment. As he began to show signs of the path of deviance, she came to believe he would, in time, do the right thing, even if it meant breaking his programming, and came to realize she had deeper feelings than that of family, regardless of whether these feelings could ever be reciprocated. Assuming Connor’s deviance, the two do open the door to something deeper than a family bond, and are willing to take the risk to pursue it.

Hank

Astrid was put under Hank’s supervision after her Deviancy, and was posed as a transfer officer to be enlisted in elite forces, but was ordered to get a feel for the ropes while under Hank. He didn’t appreciate it at the time, but grew to care for her to a degree, and found her endearing at points. Judge Park partly blames the rebellious nature Astrid developed on Hank, but isn’t 100% convinced she wouldn’t have developed it otherwise. While he doesn’t exactly say it aloud, he seems glad to have her around at times.
