Handcrafted by the primordial god of Darkness, Abbadon keeps the beings of the Dark God from interfering too much in the other realms and watches over the Abyss. Although she is stronger than the demons who claim to rule the Underworld and bear their made up title of king, she has no wish to take that position for herself. Abbadon will honor the sacrifice of her long-gone god in the name of protecting what they loved.

Abbadon's duties and her vigilance overseeing them keep her in relative solitude. However, on the rare occurrence, she entertains guests. What loneliness that amasses from the rural location of her post is curbed by her children, minions, and rare visits from what a demon can consider a friend.

She amuses herself by making deals and playing with the short-lived mortals, giving them what they desire and twisting the results as she wishes. Giving her word, she'll always carry through on her part of the deal but is the sacrifice truly worth the result? Many who make deals with her regret their choice and attempt to swindle her. That's when she sends out the hounds. However, if you impress her, there could be more in the deal for you.

Her three children have their own fathers. Eris, her oldest, is by the current ruling king of the Underworld. Nathaniel, her son, is by the troublesome sealed fallen angel contained in the 9th circle. More recently she's had Isoulde with Balthazar, the guardian of the realm of ice that is the 9th circle- and her previous partner's warden.

✧ Personality

With as long as she's been around and will be around, Abbadon tries to find things that will keep herself entertained. One of the best ways to do this is by making deals with the ever-interesting mortals. To her, it's a game and the fun is seeing how they react.

She may seem heartless, and she can be for it is necessary for her business, but she has a soft side that incredibly few see. Her lovers have only glimpsed its fleeting softness in her eyes. Her minions may witness hints of this gentle side. Yet her children see it the most in her motherly affections. That's not saying she's the best mom, but she's not the worst.

✧ Background

In the beginning of times, the primordial god of darkness created what would be known as the demons, fiends, and hellions. They were wonderful, but had times where they were too rambunctious for the god to keep from bothering the creations of the other gods. They made Abbadon with the idea that she would keep them in line for them and it's been working well enough so far.

With battle after battle, she became known as the demon no one dared to disobey and with time they saw her as a leader of sorts. She was never interested in leading them, preferring to do as she pleased. Eventually they formed their warrior hierarchy of who was the strongest and left her as the outlier to be heeded.

After the tragic event of the god of darkness' sacrifice, Abbadon kept to her duty of watching over their people and what came to be sealed in the Abyss. The floating mass of land above the unending darkness is where her home lies. Following the river Styx after it mixes with the Lethe will lead you there. It's referred to as the end of the Underworld with nothing beyond it- the last stop before eternal nothingness.

• Her home is a lone island floating above the endless Abyss. The river Styx flows down on it, breaking into multiple streams that cascade off the edges and fall into the darkness below.
