Roxiflr

Roxiflr is not like other demons… kidding, partially. Without even being said in a joking way, it’s evident that there’s certainly something different about him. Maybe it’s his more bubbly and outgoing personality coupled with the fact that he hasn’t any bloodlust, maybe it’s because he didn’t really intend to fall in the first place.

Some would even say, rather than falling, Roxiflr stumbled.

Roxiflr is friendly, cheerful, and, while he’s very mischievous, he’s never actually done anything to hurt people directly, his logic is, he can lead people to Hell, but he can’t make them damn themselves. He’s managed to maintain a steady enough flow of souls for Hell due to third-party action or intentional technologies or programs meant to turn people away from the light that he’s managed to keep himself from being pulled away from his job as Hell’s United States ambassador, but he’s barely scraped by more than once.

Roxiflr enjoys the freedom his corporeal form allows him to dress up and customize. He changes his style frequently, and he’s up to most if not all of the popular trends, though that doesn’t mean he still wont prefer older styles to new. Roxiflr will make many changes to his hair, almost once a week, but he does have a default that he always returns to, as he prefers wearing it long to hide his sigil and his demonic stripe markings, but also because he likes it. It’s impossible to place where his accent and speech mannerisms come from, his voice has the lilt of every regional dialect in the United States. It’s a bit reedy, too, but not unpleasant to the ear.

Unlike every other demon, it seems, Roxiflr doesn’t really hold a grudge against the inhabitants of Heaven. While some in particular rub him the wrong way and bother him to a point where he wouldn’t mind seeing them get knocked down a peg, he doesn’t hate angels as a whole. He doesn’t know many angels personally, though he does have a familiar companion in the angel Zephiel.

Roxiflr’s opinion on Zephiel is a very positive one, even though some other people would beg to differ. That’s just because no one seems to know Zephiel like he does. While the angel can seem very standoffish and cold at times, he’s actually a great person to be around, but it takes a bit of digging to come to that conclusion. Roxiflr enjoys all the time he spends with Zephiel, he finds him to be clever and fun to talk to, as he’s always able to keep up with him in conversation and return his banter in kind.

Roxiflr‘s friendliness with Zephiel runs much deeper than the angel believes, much deeper than most believe. Roxiflr‘s secretly smitten with the angel, and he’s been so since their very first meeting. It started out as a sort of attraction and grew into love over the course of their time knowing one another. While he wants nothing more than to make his feelings known to Zephiel, he hides them behind a faux devilish attitude and annoying behaviors to protect both his heart and the angel who’s captured it. He wouldn’t be able to forgive himself if Zephiel came to harm due to his affections, after all, because, while an angel and a demon being friends is bad enough, the mere idea of what might happen to a pair of lovers… it just doesn’t bear thinking about. So he plays the demon.
