About

One day, a little inkling was found in the dump by a kindly punk. He didn't know how he got there, or what his name was, or who he was! Taking it upon herself to help this downtrodden amnesiac, the inkling girl [who would introduce herself as Undine] decided to bestow upon him a name: Squink! Not knowing any better, Squink agreed to the new name. She sweetened the deal by temporarily renaming herself Squonk. 

And so they become Squink and Squonk; friends and agents of PURE CHAOS. Squonk liked to do bad things [like lighting dumpster fires and smashing mail boxes as she ink-railed past them] and so Squink followed suit and picked up many, many bad habits. He acted impulsively and did what he wanted, just like Squonk! She was kinda like a big sister with a little brother trailing after her and copying her... 

There's was always a little voice in the back of his mind telling him maybe he should be doing something else than being gremlins with Squonk though. He tried really hard to remember what it was he was forgetting, but in the end he just couldn't figure it out. One fateful day as they were passing by the office of a private investigator, Squink took interest and walked in. Good thing he did - he would meet the PI, Kai, that day. He felt like he knew Kai! This was a good start to finding out who he was. Unfortunately Kai didn't know who he was, no matter how many times Squink asked. 

One thing led to another and Squink and Squonk ended up living with Kai! As freeloaders! : ) 

Currently Squink's just loafing around Kai's office-apartment in Inkopolis. He got a job at a cafe, Beans n' Cream, after being inadvertently prompted to. He's not really trying to regain his memories at this point, since his attention span is pretty short. 

Squink's personality can be summed up as Childish. He acts on his whims and does things with little thought. When he doesn't get his way, he may throw a fit or become irritated. There's a lot of things that he doesn't understand and he seems to lack knowledge common to older inkling - coming off as naive and much younger than he is (often times leading people to think he's still a kid or teenager - the fact that he can't recall his age doesn't help). When he's presented with more serious issues, Squink becomes withdrawn and confused. He's more cautious of his behavior and will try to act more mature, though he still gets frustrated when he doesn't understand things. He spends a lot of his time playing and doing things that don't require a lot of thinking. The only ones who know he has amnesia are Undine and Kai, though it's something they both seem to forget frequently.

Artemis - "Agent Moony"

                                                       >> The past that was erased. 

Artemis was a squovernment agent that worked in the shadows - doing covert missions and assassinations with a sense of duty. He thought that he was doing his people a great service, keeping everyone in Inkopolis safe and the dangers of their world at bay. However, as he worked up the ranks and saw more of their world - Artemis became disenchanted. 

There were plenty of shady going on's in the background, things that the squovernment didn't want everyone knowing - like the fact octolings existed! There were a lot social injustices running rampant and Artemis began to question everything he knew. So he dug deeper. 

The further he dug into secrets, the more unsettling information he found out. His own actions began to weigh heavily on him and he considered his
options. He could go to his trusted superiors and see what they knew -
but the more he thought about it the more he became suspicious or those
around him. Was there anyone in the squovernemnt that was trustworthy? 

He whistleblew to a PI that had a penchant for sussing out squovernment
secrets - an inkling named Kai. Artermis fed him the information he knew
for truth, hoping that Kai would be able to do things he couldn't with his
position as an agent. 

Unfortunately he couldn't get away with his 'disloyal' actions forever. 

One of his superiors confronted him about his suspicious behavior as of
late and without much else to say when he was being cornered, Artemis
spilt the beans; out of all the people to catch him, at least it was someone
he was friends with. Thinking he could trust the other agent, Artemis showed
them what he'd found out. At first, they seemed to be receptive and showed
interest in helping him. Things went okay for a while after that, until they didn't. 

Artemis was turned in by his friend, in order to save themselves from the
repercussions. Though he tried to escape, he failed and was taken in for
interrogation. After what seemed like forever of not giving up any information
on his outside source, Artemis was forcibly mind wiped and thrown out.. 

Artemis is very retrospective. He can seem melancholic with his straight face and deadpan voice, but he's actually capable of a wide range of emotions - they're just more low key than other inklings. He has a playful undertone and likes to make sarcastic jokes; but paired with his muted expressions and tone, people find him hard to read and unsure of when he's messing with them. Artemis has a lot of self restraint and holds himself to a high standard. He finds making connections hard and wishes he could just let go and act like a kid again; something that may have had a big influence of his personality as "Squink".

Relationships

Squonk [undine] - friend

An inkling girl who found Artemis after his Burn. She took him under her wing and gave him the nickname "Squink" when he couldn't recall what his name was. They're chaotic partners in crime as "Squink and Squonk".

They began to part ways after living with Kai for a while; Undine got herself a girlfriend and moved out of Kai's cramped office. They text from time to time, and she visits when she's not setting fires and kissing her goth gf. 

Beans N' Cream - coworkers

Macaron - his boss. Macaron likes him well enough, but he wishes he'd stop breaking the dishes. Squink thinks of him as his rival for Ari's affections - Ari's just enamored with his huge pecs, dangit! Macaron doesn't get it...

Paprika - a part timer. They get along, both being free spirited and impulsive. Paprika's selfish behavior can sometimes be off putting to Squink though. (kettle, meet pot).

Ari - baker/cashier. He's the reason Squink works at the cafe; after being prompted to stop pining after him and just get to know him. Squink LOVES Ari and thinks the world of him - putting him on an unrealistic pedestal. Ari is unsettled, to say the least. ( this won't turn out well. )

Kai - bestfriend

The only thing Squink knew for sure after being found by Undine, was that he needed to see Kai. Somehow or another, he ended up living with Kai - he made his bedroom in the drawer of his office desk. While Kai was initially reluctant to have rando inklings around, he eventually warmed up and they become close friends. 

They're protective of each other and have basically ranked up to family status.

his character has developed a lot throughout the span of rp with friends: he's since regained his memories and is now going by Artemis again. his mental state has recovered (for the most part, there's still ptsd and other traumas he's not over) and he's once again in the mind of an adult. any porn found in the gallery is of Artemis when he's recovered and in an adult state of mind!!! he started to date pine (the green haired octoling) and they later got married. they fuck a lot lol.
