Despite being a vampire, Blanche thought her own life perfect; that is, until that fateful day, where she found her own lover had been killed by someone.
She spent a few years searching, going to parties, trying to retread her lover's steps to figure out who might've killed her, and how. It is during one such party that she gets involved with a new girl, who she turns into a vampire in a lapse of judgment. She never finds out this girl's name.
Eventually she comes upon Norman Ward, the man who killed her lover, and as he is in the process of finding a spouse after his parents' death, she jumps on this chance to get into his good graces. Unbeknownst to her at the time, his sister, Nadya, is the girl that Blanche turned a while ago while at the party.

Blanche is quite the confident woman, especially considering she's had to dodge the "when will you marry?" questions for years - she was never planning on marrying, she has the money and smarts to survive, but of course things changed when she had to get close to Norman to get proof.
She's very openly flirty with women but in a sneaky way that tends to fly under the radar for most people; in Nadya's case, she frames it under bonding between the two of them - that it'd be imperative for them to get along if they're to be under the same roof. Really it's just an excuse to be touchy with her.
Because of her generally flirty behavior and sneaky personality, it's hard to gauge whether she's being serious or just fooling around.
She's also quite the bloodthirsty vampire, though she's never taken it to the point that anyone's life has been in danger.

The girl that Blanche turned into a vampire at a party a while prior to the story; when she gets married to Norman, she realizes upon seeing the ring on Nadya's finger that they may be the same person, and goes to confirm that she does indeed have marks on her neck.
Blanche still has feelings for her, and finds it highly ironic that they'd end up meeting like this. Nadya seems downright avoidant of her, which does hurt, but she isn't the type to give up so easily.
She quickly finds out about Nadya's alter ego - considering she's spying on Norman, it just happens by accident while snooping - but decides to keep it a secret since she doesn't seem to be actually hurting anyone. That is, until a victim turns up. Was it Nadya, or her brother...?

The man who mercilessly took the life of Blanche's lover; she searched for him for years before finding proof that it truly was him. Blanche also believes he might've had a role in the death of his own parents as well, but she lacks solid proof of any of it.
He agrees to enter a marriage of convenience with her, if only to shut up the voice of nosy relatives pushing him to take a wife and have kids. They both understand that the marriage will probably end when Norman finds a new woman. Blanche is content with this, as she plans to kill him before that much time passes anyway.
- Blanche adores fancy dresses, especially ones that can get a little provocative and interesting. Her favorite color is teal, and she prefers gold over silver, believing it suits her much better. She also LOVES glitter.
- Her long hair has incredible volume - who knows where that disappears when she puts her hair up. It's like magic! She usually is only seen with her hair down at night; of course she makes sure that Nadya gets a good look at it once in a while!
- Her night gown is a pretty traditional nightgown from Edwardian times; the top layer of lace is transparent, providing peeks at the skin beneath, while the rest is of a thicker, comfy fabric. I decided to cover it in blood for her vampire vibes! She tries not to get it THAT dirty all the time but I couldn't resist really leaning into the vampire thing.
