Personality: Langhley seems easygoing and flexible, but make no mistake. She is always trying to think of ways to stay ahead. She will manipulate any situation to get ahead of anyone she believes to be competition. And while loyalty ain't her strong suit, she loves to make superficial bonds with her coworkers, cracking jokes at both their and her own expense to give a false sense of comradery. Though one wonders how false it really is, since all people have attachments.
As much as she doesn't show it, she does admire those who have a strong sense of justice. It's the one thing she can't really do herself, as she can't help but see multiple angles where that mentality fails. But she admires it when it succeeds.
Background: She is a high ranking Guard officer in an elite task force working to arrest any miscreant that dares disturb the peace of the galaxy. She worked as a private investigator with an agency partnered with the Guard. With her shrewd judgement, excellent strategy skills, and her unique knowledge on the criminal underworld, she fast moved up the ranks to be one of the Guard's shining stars. One of her most notable accomplishments in this position is her leveraging of several gang feuds to take down an entire criminal family.
That doesn't mean she's done with the underworld: far from it. She'll use organized crime syndicates, the bounty systems, and unscrupulous gangs for both her employers' and her own needs. And she weaponizes rivalries between gangs to keep her hands clean and rack up criminals to throw in the penal system, all while she's trusted by both sides.
She hates her employers, but resigns herself to her fate. After all, her hands are so thoroughly stained with blood that she can't ever hope to wash them.
Other: Her eyes are black, and her hair is a reddish brown. She is mixed Quechua, and her ancestry traces back to Peru.
Also, she has medically transitioned. Being trans is relatively common in this universe, and pretty accepted.
