Nakeiki

An optimistic Hawaiʻi ʻōʻō who has a major obsession with syrup and fruits.

Nakeiki is your typical bird from the Big Island of Hawai‘i in the 1930s - which is why she doesn't know about the fact that her species is extinct yet. Like her friends, Hiriwai and Makarovich, she has been brought back from the past to a special scientific facility for research purposes.

Nakeiki is rather forgetful, but she never forgets to smile at all times. She may be perceived as annoying due to her optimistic attitude towards life, but deep down, she never wants to hurt anyone's feelings at all times, as well as seeing others sad because of her.

Oh, and she also has a major fear of mosquitoes. Don't put her too close to one - she might literally die due to shock.

(Yes, I am well aware that Nakeiki's name is derived from "nā keiki", which is Hawaiian for "the children". This is partially due to the backstory behind Nakeiki.)
