Dominic is a street racer, calling himself Psychedelic Rush. He's a daredevil; unlike some of his buddies, he's not in it for love of the vehicles; he just likes going dangerously fast in every possible situation, and he's known to intentionally commit to extreme danger. He tempts fate every single day; some people wonder if he'll actually make it to middle age, the way he's going.

He is an incorrigible flirt; it's such a habit to him that sometimes it slips out even when it's the worst thing to say in a given situation. He can't totally turn it off, which has gotten him into trouble multiple times. His other street racing buddies don't mind it, though; most of them flirt back, turning it into a game. The real trouble is the one who doesn't flirt back: Miles Grim, a man who is so oblivious to Dominic's flirting that he still hasn't realized that Dominic has been trying to ask him out for ages.

Miles works on Dominic's vehicles for him, and the two of them spend so much time together that Dominic doesn't know if they can be any closer. But until he learns how to say his feelings in the plainest, most obvious way possible, he's stuck in a bad romcom of his own creation.
