Raio

THIS IS ALL KINDA WIP SINCE NOT EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS WORLD IS REVEALED

Raio was born in a small village of Kiijin. These Kiijin were a smaller subspecies with larger ears. Like other Kiijin groups, they were secretive and had an affinity towards magic. In their culture it was believed that the more tails a Kiijin has, the more powerful. The rare ones that managed to reach 9 tails were considered almost deities and were held very high in their community. Raio however was NOT skilled with magic.

While the other children managed to do things based on which element they could control, Raio had no control over it and could only slightly let out some electricity from his paw if he really focused. But as he got older the zaps started to hurt him if he tried using it. And at a certain age it even sometimes attacked his own body, giving him a random shock out of nowhere. The elders stepped in and came to the conclusion that it might have to do with his tail. As a child he had broken it once while playing with friends. It was not that big of a deal and it healed well, but it took on a curled position because of the way the bones healed. The elders assumed that because of his accident years ago and the way the tail healed, it could not split. So while Raio's powers had started two grow, his tail was unable to split to hold and control the extra magic. Instead it was all held in his body to the point where it was to much to hold in and it started to burst out from time to time attacking his own body.

Though there wasn't anything to do about it, Raio was smart and sought his own solution. Ha was already a part of a scholar group of inventors and scientists. And he found his solution in the form of a small device that could store all the extra power like a battery. Raio was more then proud of his invention and assumed that there were more like him out there who could benefit from it. But even though his teacher and fellow scholars were initially proud, they quickly changed their tune. The highest council got word from his device after his own village send them their concerns. They saw a great potential for dangerous uses in raio's invention if it came in the wrong hands.

Some knights were send to pick him up to be brought to court. Raio realized he would be send to prison and made his escape before they arrived. He has been living on the run and on the streets ever since.
