I'm just... trying to read, sorry....

Born to Cadmus and Marshmallow, the deity and spiritualist of the Tides of the Moon, Smore was... less impressive than her older brother. He had the intelligence and strength she didn't have, and she was an anxious mess even from her hatching- she was born so anxious, she was almost afraid to come out of her egg when it broke open. Though this anxiety did deter her from a lot of things, she still enjoyed having fun with her brother and her sisters. She was just... very withdrawn around strangers.

While Virtus went off to become an expertly-trained guard and protect the Tides like he protected her during their childhood, the younger Mon decided she would fit much better doing something less dangerous. She took a small tour around the Tides with her father, who as the Great Tide, requested that everyone leave her alone unless she asked them something directly. It worked well and it made her much more comfortable knowing she could be in charge of when someone interacted with her. On their tour, they found a small library, and though she wasn't as intelligent as Virtus was due to his electro-biology, she did enjoy herself a good book, but also enjoyed quiet work and organizing. Her and Cadmus went into the library at her request, and they talked to the librarian, Florimell, who was more than happy to have a visitor in the god and his child. She took Smore under her wing and allowed her to be an apprentice there. She enjoys it so far, and she feels that it does them well to have their reading entertainment nice and organized.

Smore really enjoyed her job at the library, working with Florimell. She found the routine relaxing, and the quiet of the library was enough to keep the noise in her own head quiet. She enjoyed it so much, but she was still so apprehensive when people came around that she didn't know if she'd ever break out of her shell. That night, the night the desires grew louder, she wished for two things: the first was to allow herself more protection in her main form, and the second was to help her stop hiding in her alternate form. When she went to bed, she had a dream in which she was trapped, and very very small, in a situation that she could not hide from. All eyes were on her in her true form, and she was terrified. She tried to hide under her paws and both sets of ears, but she couldn't, not as she was. She finally managed to convince herself that the only way out of this was to take deep breaths like her brother showed her, and to be more flexible with what she needed to do instead of hiding. In that moment, she managed to grow back to normal size in her dream, and as she began to wake up, a bright light took over her vision.

When she finally opened up her eyes, she realized her face was more covered than what she was used to. And then as if everything suddenly clicked into place, she realized that she could move the parts covering her face, and so she did. Lifting them up, she was able to see past these new mini-limbs, and she looked for a reflective surface to look into and inspect herself, and she managed to do so. What she saw both frightened and intrigued her- she had evolved into a Spireon-Leafeon-Toxapex overnight after her dream, and was now more equipped to protect herself in her main form.

She was still a common face in the library as she worked there and enjoyed reading, but now she seemed more at ease with more ways to protect herself if necessary, even engaging with Pokemon coming in to check out books. Plus, she could use her new limbs to reach for books she couldn't reach before!
