Smore had no idea she had the power to change form when she was born, but as she grew older she felt something deep in her chest that she spoke with her father about. Knowing the feeling well, Cadmus showed Smore how to shift her form into her innate secondary form. When she finally was able to let herself transform, she was surprised that she was... very small. And not the kind of creature she was before. Cadmus just stared at his daughter in disbelief, seeing that her secondary form was a Wimpod. However, he had no issues with this, and actually saw this as very fitting for her, considering her anxiety. He explained to her the benefit of being so small, which was the fact that she could hide from anyone she wanted in this form. He would help her master the form shifting, and as she got the hang of it, she would transform herself any time she became overwhelmed.

Smore really enjoyed her job at the library, working with Florimell. She found the routine relaxing, and the quiet of the library was enough to keep the noise in her own head quiet. She enjoyed it so much, but she was still so apprehensive when people came around that she didn't know if she'd ever break out of her shell. That night, the night the desires grew louder, she wished for two things: the first was to allow herself more protection in her main form, and the second was to help her stop hiding in her alternate form. When she went to bed, she had a dream in which she was trapped, and very very small, in a situation that she could not hide from. All eyes were on her in her true form, and she was terrified. She tried to hide under her paws and both sets of ears, but she couldn't, not as she was. She finally managed to convince herself that the only way out of this was to take deep breaths like her brother showed her, and to be more flexible with what she needed to do instead of hiding. In that moment, she managed to grow back to normal size in her dream, and as she began to wake up, a bright light took over her vision.

After she discovered she had evolved in her main form, she transformed into her alternate form to see what would happen. Instead of a tiny little Wimpod, like she expected however, she found herself at a towering height, bulky with big, heavy claws on each arm. Her alternate did in fact evolve as well, and instead of being built for hiding, Smore's alternate form was now built to fight as much as she wanted. It gave her a lot more confidence that she'd be able to protect herself, and subsequently started to volunteer as a substitute guard should someone need to be replaced temporarily due to injury or illness. She could do it now, being a Golisopod in her alternate form now.
