Kaname is the son of a human and a fallen angel. His friendly, witty and hardworking personality is what makes him so charming and likeable. He is protective and would disregard his own safety and wellbeing for others without hesitation.
When he was a child he was rather shy and quiet. His lunch money stolen at school once and he became upset because he had nothing else to eat that day until his friend, Axel, offered to share his chicken nuggets. Nuggets have been his favourite and most cherish food ever since. However, that wasn't the only thing he developed a liking for. He soon came to realise he had a crush on his friend but he was too afraid to admit it especially when he occasionally witnesses Axel flirting with other people. Kana is often conflicted with his feelings for Axel and occasionally quickly gets snappy or moody at him without meaning to. Although the two make bicker they still care very much for each other.

- Kaname is a Japanese name meaning "pivot, cornerstone, keystone". It originally came from the phrase 蟹の目 (kani no me) meaning "crab's eye" in which the word originally referred to a metal fitting (resembling a crab's eye) used for fastening the frame at the end of the fan.

Kaname met Axel when they were kids. He had his lunch money stolen and was offered chicken nuggets from Axel to which he became very fond of since they always bring back good memories. He eventually developed a crush on his friend but refuses to admit it. Kaname is gets annoyed and jealous easily when he sees Axel flirting with others but won't admit why.
Kazuhiro is Kaname's overly protective brother. Kaname used to call him "Kazu-niichan" when he was a child and is very fond of him even though he's not always home.
Ziel often orders his bubble tea from the store Kaname works at. He's a regular there and usually asks for Kaname to surprise him with his order.
