To Strangers

Saffron comes across as polite, well mannered, and softly spoken. She tries her best to leave a positive impression on everyone she meets, although isn't as successful as she usually hopes as she's pretty introverted. She can and will speak up if something piques her interest, but it can be sort of difficult to get much out of her when she's surrounded by strangers.
The only time when she will speak up against her nature is when she sees someone being actively bullied - she can and will step in if no one else will. Although she's soft spoken, she refuses to be a doormat and though it doesn't come out too often, she isn't afraid to tell someone that they're being rude and she doesn't appreciate it! It often comes as a surprise to others, which Saf secretly thinks is kinda hilarious, if not a little sad - just because someone is softly spoken and quiet doesn't mean that they're a free target to bully.

To Friends

Saffron is still pretty quiet with friends, but it's a different kind of quiet. It's the kind of quiet where there's a loving sparkle in her eye as she listens to them speak, its the kind of quiet where she is absorbing every single word spoken. It's the kind of quiet that she can break at any moment because she can jump in to the conversation at any point without fear of retaliation or doing it at the "wrong" time.
Saffron loves being with friends so much. She laughs freely, is openly silly, and isn't afraid to wave her cane at them jokingly if the need arises without feeling self conscience about it. She will jump at a moment's notice to help them with anything they may need enthusiastically, and revels in being able to do menial or boring tasks with them.

To Customers

Saffron is the face of the cafe and takes pride in that! As such, she is polite, courteous, and kind to all of her customers regardless of who they work for, or any history they may have.
While she's not a hero, she has a small amount of power in the cafe she runs, and so she takes pride in the fact that it's a safe place for everyone regardless of alignment or history - so long as everyone is kind. Although she has no powers and isn't the strongest physically, she can and will kick out customers who are causing a ruckus in her cafe.

To Themself

Saffron thinks that so long as she does good in her daily life that her good deeds may inspire others and slowly bring good to the world around her. She knows in her heart of hearts that it's probably a silly and childish way of thinking, but she's determined to prove to the world and to herself that it's worth being kind.

A Brief Overview

Saf was born to a loving family who supported and loved her dearly - her two mamas, her papa, and her sister. Life was a little hard for them at first adjusting to a new baby, but they all got the hang of it, and Saf never felt unloved.
When she was learning to walk, she found it extremely difficult, and it was found that she had some muscle weakness in her legs, and had to wear splints to make sure she could build up the muscle properly to walk. Although she hated them, she was a patient child, letting her papa put them on for her every day (never her mamas though).

As she grew older, her legs developed more and she was able to walk a little better, though she was told she'd always need to wear some compressors on her upper legs to keep things in check. Her mamas and papa told her that they'd make sure to get the comfiest and nicest looking ones for her. She trusted them with all her heart, and they never let her down.

The older Saf grew, the more she realised that her perfect, sheltered world wasn't what the world was like, and grew a strong sense of justice. She knew she was extremely lucky, but she wanted to share her happiness with the world. She developed a love for baking, and would give away her baked goods to anyone who needed a little treat.

Eventually, Fennel offered to help her run a proper business - and Saffron whole heartedly agreed, and the two sisters jumped head first into running a cafe - with some support from their parents, of course. Although Fennel owned the business, Saffron was the one doing most of the work for it - a job that she absolutely adored. She loved to get up early and bake for the day, and scamper around the cafe taking orders while Fennel made coffees and ran the register.

It was at her work that Saffron met Honey the Cat - who had some business in Station Square and stopped by their cafe to grab a cake. Saffron was taking a short break when Fennel came in flustered, asking for some help. Saffron came out to assisst and was met with Honey looking visibly disgusted over a piece of cake in front of her - carrot cake - which was Saf's specialty, but apparently Honey's detested.

Saf apologised for the mistake, and gave her a slice of her honeycomb cake on the house, and smoothed things over - although once all was said and done Saf returned to the back flustered that such a cute celebrity was in her cafe eating her baked goods!!

From then on, Honey began to frequent the cafe, and she and Saffron became good friends - chatting the latest fashion, as well as fun little schemes for Honey to plan out to expand her business. The two got close enough that one day Honey jokingly offered Saffron a spot on her team, and Safffron, starstruck and a little gay instead said "I'd rather take you out on a date."

The two girls sat in dead silence for a moment before Saffron registered what she said, and apologised profusely. Honey just smiled coyly and agreed to her date, so long as Saffron would show her the nicest place in Station Square.

From then on, the two of them began dating. Honey owned an apartment in Station Square as a base of operations for her to work at when she needed to be in the area, but she offered it to Saffron, too, and so the two moved in together making it more than just an office to work from - they made it their home.

Occasionally, Honey goes away on business trips for her latest collections, and occasionally Saffron will join her, but she often stays home too, the two of them texting about their days, and about their ideas. Saffron loves her job, and Honey loves hers, and the two of them understand each other in a way that works well for both of them <3

• Saffron is one of the most self indulgent characters I have ever made I was like "Man I wanna OC x Canon ship and Ally was like GO FORTH I BELIEVE IN YOU!!! And I was like SCREAMS!!! and then I made this whole AU around Saf and Honey <3
• Saffron has chronic pain in her legs - the little crisscrossy straps help to compress her muscles and help her to move a little easier, but she uses a cane on high pain days.
• On high pain days, Fennel usually helps front of house in the cafe, and since their business has grown, they've also hired a few casuals so Saffron isn't doing everything and can rest when she needs to
• I considered making her a lesbian but then she started making dreamy eyes at Mighty when I was looking through some canon characters for ages and some info so uhhh shes bi I guess HAHA
