Hanano Himari
"Hello! Welcome to the Hanano Flower Shop!"

Himari is a friendly and mellow flower shop keeper, loved by his neighborhood community. He helps out at the shrine nearby, a voluntary community service he has done since childhood. For a decade, he has had encounters with spirits (ayakashi) and gods.
10 years ago, Himari tried to help an injured white snake along the side of the shrine. However, the snake lunged at him and disappeared. Moments later, Himari fell to the ground. His skin began to grow patches of white scales, and he was no longer able to move. A self-proclaimed "god" called Kuchinawa possessed him, siphoning off his spiritual energy.
Over the course of a decade, the two encounter different spirits, some friendly, some hostile. In order to protect his host, Kuchinawa protects Himari from danger via possession or even summoning his physical "god-like" form. Kuchinawa and Himari's symbiotic relationship eventually resembles a friendship more due to Himari's undying kindness.
In present day, Kuchinawa no longer has the need to possess Himari after finally regaining enough power to maintain his "god" form on his own, though he can still possess Himari at will.
- In his teens, Himari was a shrine maiden at the shrine.
- There are patches of white scales that come and go on random areas on Himari's body.
- There's a reddish snake-like abrasion wrapped around his neck. Sometimes it even moves and slithers like a snake.
- Himari's abundant spiritual energy is due to his bloodline.
Himari wears his heart on his sleeve and shows kindness to anyone and anything. However, he ends up becoming victim to others' lies, allowing others to take advantage of him.
Himari grew up with the idealistic belief that all beings are good at their core.

They have been together in both body and mind for so long that Himari feels like there's a missing part of him now that Kuchinawa is no longer possessing him.
