Suffered many things in an attempt to awaken powers within him, was contained for an unknown length of time inside some top secret facility hidden where no one could ever find it. Other labrats (like himself) looked up to him and he did his best to protect them all. When they were rounded up and killed, it was this ultimate pain that would finally bring rise to his abilities...the real test was losing his friends...
