Charlatan

A meticulously wound double identity protects Bailey from much strife, their ability to smoothly cut through classist obstacles to offer help, favours of all kinds, built up a small network of powerful allies. New characters can come out of Bailey's body language, voice, mannerisms with ease. A simple change of wardrobe finishes the disguise seamlessly. The demon's charm is gentle, invested. Often stubbornly refusing to work together with others on particular cons, retaining strict control over their own plans. Bailey doesn't trust the clumsy hands of others to properly secure their deceptions, considering it an incredibly delicate social art to master.
Alter ego: A rather mysterious young noble who had the misfortune of loosing her parents inheritance after their brutal death at the hands of wartime ransackers. Owns a respectable plot of land and retains noble status, but has little more of note. Has many connections in various high courts but presents as someone presently more willing to do favours than ask for them. Humble and amiable a guest, would be considered far more suitable had she not been so unfortunately disinherited. Few of Bailey's allies know of their real origin, fewer care to pry when offered favours and coin to keep their eyes downcast.

Personality

Chaotic Neutral. Confident to the point of outright arrogance, the wizard boasts proven self-assurance with magic and charm alike. Calculating and intelligent, charm can only hide for so long the obvious manner in which Bailey prioritises themself over others. While helping possible allies is easy, they struggle when faced any moral decision that pits their personals against someones safety. Ultimately, though, Bailey sees life as much more important than possessions, and.... Well usually follows this philosophy to its conclusion.

A performer of sorts, Bailey’s abilities can serve as anything from an attraction for fascinated crowds to a swift dancing escapist so perfectly suited for thievery and immorality it’s a wonder this demon isn’t a criminal… A vagrant and dubious merchant, Bailey has many allies but few friends, accustomed to being bullied or even hunted for their fiendish heritage, a strain of noble blood has saved them on a few chance occasions. Bailey keeps even the most charming suiters at an arms-length.
