Murasaki was born into a rather poor family. As an only child  she had to help a lot in the household starting from a very young age.

Eventually  her parents became so desparate that they sold their own daughter to an  entertainment etablissement where she worked as a general servant until  the owner decided she was old enough to learn the diffrent ways of  entertaining customer. She learned how to play various instruments and  how to sing and dance as well.

Even  though the people there treated her well after she wasn't a simple  servant anymore, Murasaki still wanted to buy herself free and  eventually leave the etablissement. One day an older  regular customer who was always very kind to her offered to buy her  free. The young woman accepted his offer and married him after they  moved together in a small house in the heart of Pokodani.

They were happy for a couple of years until Murasaki's husband one day became ill and died shortly afterwards.

Being  all by herself again, Murasaki had to start work again to earn money  for a living. She found a job as entertainer in the well known teahouse  and loves to dance, sing or play music there for the customers.
