Quill Whiskers

Quill is a brown tailend with a light belly and dark stripes. His hair is a grown out buzz cut thr same dark brown as his eyes. At the end of his solid brown tail is a black tablet. His top canine teeth stick out.

Quill is typically calm, patient and understanding.

He is talkative and happy when he is around people he feels close to, though he can start to feel tired and want a break after too long.

When he isn’t around people he feels close to he is more quiet and may try to avoid conversation.

People usually assume Quill is antisocial or shy due to how little he talks to them at first.

Many people have considered him weird and teased him or left him out, causing issues with past friendships.

Quill can enjoy being alone at times, sometimes he needs to peace and quiet to feel calm and relaxed, especially if he’s recently been stressed out or if he feels tired or drained.

If he doesn’t have a task to keep him occupied then being alone can quickly become boring.

When he has a task he may become focused and do the task for hours, occasionally he can’t focus and has to give up and find something less productive to do.

He thinks out loud and talks to himself a little when he’s alone.

When Quill is with his friends he can be happy and talkative, he tries to not do any fun and distracting tasks to stay engaged in his friends’ conversations and tasks. Though if he is tired or unhappy in any way he can be more quiet and less involved in conversations.

Quill can talk to his close family easily and have conversations about his interests or events. He tries to hide some interests from his family due to his more childish interests being made fun of by them in the past.

When he is with his extended family he is much more quiet, he doesn’t feel as comfortable around them and doesn’t enjoy their company, he only speaks to them if they speak to him first. He tries to keep himself distracted, usually drawing or playing a game on his tablet.

His cousin, Rocket, is the relative he gets along with the most, they share multiple interests and don’t judge eachother. He can have conversations easily with Rocket and enjoys his company.

Spokie’s family feel like family to him because of how much time he spends with them. When he is around then he feels equally as comfortable as he is with Rocket and talks about anything with them. They frequently comfort him when he needs it.

Quill has only had one romantic interest, Spokie.

Quill does not feel attraction to others, he does kind of have a type and things some people look really good, but doesn’t feel any genuine romantic or sexual attraction. He treats the people he finds good looking the same way he treats anyone else.

In his relationship, he was incredibly nervous and flustered at first and didn’t know what to do.

He made progress with showing affection slowly, but never showed any affection in public until he had moved out due to being closeted.

Once he is completely comfortable, the affection doesn’t faze him anymore because it feels normal. He feels more comfortable with his boyfriend than he does with anyone else and happily tells him everything. He feels less dysphoric when he’s with his boyfriend and may wear less or tighter clothes than what he would normally wear.

Quill tries to avoid all conflict, he usually doesn’t understand anyone that doesn’t seem to like him because he’s never been rude or unkind to them.

When somebody doesn’t like him, he tries to avoid them. If they speak to him he will still respond and try to be calm and kind, though his responses may be short.

Quill tries to avoid talking to strangers, he can get nervous if they approach him. If a stranger talks to him he will respond, he usually responds in short answers but may be talkative depending on the conversation topic.

He is too nervous to talk to people who he has drifted apart from, even if they are on good terms. He will respond if they speak to him, but he will avoid talking to them first.

Quill respects his authority figures and will do as told. He’ll keep to himself and avoid having a conversation with them unless they speak to him first.

He may feel nervous and/or exited around somebody he looks up to. He will want to speak to them but may he too nervous, if he does speak to them he will likely stutter more than usual.

Quill is easily overwhelmed, it doesn’t take much for him to completely give up on a task. He usually only works in specific environments to avoid this.

He is also insecure due to past experiences and worries about being annoying, sometimes he’ll feel bad or nervous after a social interaction if he thinks he said something stupid.

When he is bored he tries to find a task to do, usually checking apps for any conversations, videos, games, etc. He doesn’t like doing boring tasks while bored, such as cleaning, and tries to find fun tasks instead. He is likely to contribute to a conversation when he is bored.

When he starts to feel stressed, he will leave the situation or give up on the task that is causing the stress to prevent shutting down. He finds somewhere quiet to sit and tries to find something to distract himself as he calms down, usually watching videos. He usually tries to be alone when he wants to calm down.

If he cannot leave the situation his stress will build up and cause him to struggle to communicate his problem, he stammers on his words more than usual and flaps his hands in frustration. If he has been stressed for a while he may raise his voice and cry until left to calm down.

Being under a lot of pressure can cause him to become stressed and nervous, if he can't do what is expected of him he will feel more stressed. He will respond to this the same way he responds to stress.

Quill is hard to make angry, he doesn’t feel angry very much. When he is angry, he will raise his voice and feel stressed, he will try to avoid the situation if he can.

Quill is a good liar, being closeted, he has to lie to people often, though he doesn’t like lying and prefers to be honest where he can.

He can usually keep a neutral face and tone while he lies, though if he was asked a personal question he can’t be honest about he may become a little flustered and stutter more than usual.

Quill doesn’t like confrontation and tries to avoid it, he tries to he kind to everyone so he doesn’t usually have any reason for someone to confront him.

When being confronted, he tries to stay calm and talk about the issue. If the person who confronted him doesn’t talk calmly he will become stressed and likely raise his voice.

He does not have the confidence to confront others.

He is not good at decision making and feels nervous if he had to lead.

He works well with clear instructions and will do what he is supposed to.

He is not good at comforting or helping others, he wants to be able to help but usually finds someone else who can help.

He keeps most problems to himself but will look for help if he really needs it.

He becomes nervous and a little stressed, he will likely try to leave the situation.

He sits down and finds a low effort task, likely watching videos, until he is able to rest.

He is usually patient, especially if he has an enjoyable distraction.

He talks a little more and could start to subtly stim.

He becomes talkative and may clearly stim.

He gives short and simple answers if he is not interested in the conversation.

He goes along with changes to plans, but will be unhappy if the change interupts something he was looking forward to doing or is tine consuming.

He thinks he is a nice person, though he isn't very social.
