Canis doesn't cast spells, he writes code.
He sees the universe and people as following pre-written programming, and he's lucky enough to know the syntax. Canis is able to write programs that, when executed, act like magic.
A nihilist as a result, Canis rarely takes anything seriously and sees everything through an ""ironic"" lens. He's chill to a worrying degree. Why worry when everything's just a program? As great as he is to have in a tense situation, he's not very helpful when a warm supportive voice is needed. He merely laugh things off and reminds everyone they're going to die eventually anyway. Thanks Canis.
Throughout his many reincarnations he has authored many things, including a program that allows you to speak to Gods via a digital avatar. Unfortunately, his reincarnation comes at a price; having to work for a vengeful god. But Canis is willing to do whatever is needed to complete his lives' work. He's pretty dedicated.
He's also a huge furry. Canis treats it like an ironic joke, but he's actually pretty into it. His fursona is Lupifur the Cerberus. Lupus+Lucifer+Fur. It's a three-headed pun.

Co-workers in a multidimensional gang. Canis sees Eiver as a good bro; they're the two friendliest personalities in the group and often go to each other when bored. He sees Eiver as a little naive and too optimistic, but appreciates his positive attitude. Secretly he's a little jealous of Eiver's passionate drive. Canis works hard too, but he feels like he'll never feel accomplishment as strongly as Eiver does.
