Yellow Sapphire (he/they) is a roughly 1000 year old fighter gem. He is (romantically) partners with Tourmaline. Other gems frequently shorten his name to Saph.
Since Tourmaline retired from field work he’s rotated fighting partners fairly frequently. Most gems don’t want to work with him because he’s lazy and often distracted. Because of this he has a tendency to become injured more frequently than other gems. This is not helped by him being larger and bulkier than his fellow gems thus “making him a bigger target.”
He has a brotherly relationship with Lilac Sapphire, and was delighted when another Sapphire joined them. However they rarely work together on the field on account of Lilac working primarily with Diamond.
Golden Sapphire has anger issues, and on occasion will lash out and break his fellow gems. Sometimes he just does this for fun because he knows Tourmaline will just fix them.
