APOLLO LETO
Apollo Leto is the pseudonym of a famed mystery novelist, but he wouldn't be able to tell you his real name—on the first of January, 1918, he woke up with no memory of his past or who he was. After spending a little less than half a year in recovery, Apollo gave up on discovering who he was, resigning to a quiet life in a small, costal English town. In 1922, he works as a bookseller, content with the person that he's made himself. He doesn't wonder who he was, no matter how much press he still gets from time to time. Then comes a letter—a stranger claims to have known him, and to know what exactly happened for him to lose his memory.

Nobody knows Apollo Leto's true identity. Rumors circle him like vultures, but the truth seems to forever be buried. Below follows a record of Apollo's discovery and recovery.

On Janurary 1st, 1918, at 6:45 AM, a disheveled, bloody "Apollo Leto" was brought to the New Eden General Hospital by a figure swathed in black. Staff were not told Mr. Leto's real identity, only that he needed immediate medical attention. Both Mr. Leto and the figure smelled of smoke. The figure left shortly after Mr. Leto was taken in. Mr. Leto was found to have sustained grave injuries: 3 fractured ribs, sprained left wrist, broken right ankle, a deep stab wound in the right leg, and bruising all over. It was discovered that he had "feminine" anatomy, which was cause for confusion. Upon regaining conciousness, he had no memory of what had happened, and worse, who he was. When asked about his body, he refuted that he was male.

Apollo currently resides in a small apartment above a bookstore he runs called Grey Heron Books. He is the only employee. The store does pretty well, as Apollo's fame—or perhaps infamy—continues to bring in curious patrons. It's also generally just a nice store.

His relationship with Duck Graham is a strange one, teetering on the edge between friendly and romantic. Duck claims that the two survived a hellish night at the Elm manor together; That she survived only because of his interference. Apollo doesn't know how he could forget someone like her. Her drinking habit is starting to rub off on him.
