Felix is a character from a series of casual comics I've been making since 2009. He is a fictional species, called a "murg."
He’s from a fictional country called Argrea, raised in the state of Kolnosk. In current comics, he lives in the capital city, Bismaché, located in the state of Poonst. He works as a freelance translator and interpreter of a bunch of languages, which are all variants in the common language family “Murgzt.” The common language that he speaks with others in the comic is Argrean Standard, a partially-developed conlang. His native language, Kukisch, is a dialect of Kolnoskan Standard that Kukisch natives consider distinct from Kolnoskan for a bunch of reasons that would put you to sleep.
Felix is an incredibly optimistic person, who doesn’t like to cause conflict.

Backstory
Felix comes from Kuk, Kolnosk, which is a northern, mountainous region of Argrea. Kolnosk is famous for its beautiful ski resorts and abject poverty. Its capital is Rigàna, toward the south. He was raised by his mom, Rachi Lang, and their neighbor, Gustav Ölsk.
At age seven, he was sent to the Piperriutméke, in central Kolnosk. A Riutméke is Argrea's version of a university-track school, similar to a charter school. The Piperriutméke is Kolnosk's more prestigious Riutméke, of which they have two. There, he specialized in language acquisition and interpretation. Afterwards, he went to an internationally acclaimed university in the foreign country of Tschünsk, called the Ulmerriutmékirem. Very few murgs who live in Argrea have left the country, making Felix a minority in his educational experiences.
After completing university, he served one year of mandatory service in the Lufhan. The Lufhan is Argrea’s defensive air force. He met his best friend, Heidi G, there.
Felix now lives in Argrea’s capital city, Bismaché, working as a freelance translator and interpreter for government and advertisement agencies.
Major relationships with other characters
Felix, as a matter of policy, tries to see the best in everyone. This causes him to have positive, though at times strained, relationships with people from all walks of life.
Felix is best friends with Heidi G., whom he often looks to for emotional support. While their relationship looks very one-sided to outsiders, Felix insists that Heidi is a very good friend to him.
Felix is oblivious to Heinrich Knört’s feelings for him. He sees him as a friend, though he is somewhat wary of Heinrich’s status as a federal detective. Despite Heinrich's awkward behaviors, Felix tries to give him a chance because he feels that Heinrich has a good heart.
Felix is friends with both Jacob Rehns and Peter Chaikolk, despite their conmen activities. Felix is completely aware of their schemes, after his initial exposure to them, but he unfortunately believes them whenever they claim to have turned a new leaf.
Felix finds Dimitri Yetz eccentric, but doesn’t think of him as obnoxious like others do. Felix thinks Yetz has an appreciable sense of humor, and the two are on polite terms with one another.
