Aldebaran is a deeply logical, scholarly starlyng. They tend to see the worlds around them as subjects to be studied, and don't tend to linger long on sentimentality. This intersects with their thoughts on gender- as their species, made of stardust, lacks the biological sexes that more organic species have, Aldebaran feels like that makes them entirely separate from gender as a concept. Although, they do find it interesting when other starlyings take on genders concepted by the planets they visit. What an interesting psychological affect for their species.
Aldebaran tends to see most things as something to be catalogued and categorized. Flora and fauna, cultures, relationships, all of it is filed away in the logical part of their mind. This is in part because they have alexithymia, which means that they struggle to recognize and name most of their emotions, leading them to favour logical interpretations.
Design
Aldebaran is an elegant, catlike starlying with particularly wavy feathers. They are predominantly white in colour, with a grey stripe running along their back, and dappling that looks like stars on their back flanks. They have talons and deerlike antlers in the same shade of grey. Their mane and tail is in a soft pastel gradient that goes from green to blue to purple, and sparkles and shimmers at the ends. Their mane mimics curtain bangs, with a side part. They have angular shaped pastel purple eyes, with visible pale eyelashes.

Fang
Ugh. What a nuisance. Fang is so loud and annoying, and life has been miserable ever since xe came to Aldebaran's current planet. Yet, Aldebaran can't help but have a bit of a soft spot for xyr, especially because their friend Nashira seems to like xyr.
Nashira
At first glance, one would think these two wouldn't get along, given Nashira's highly emotional and sensitive nature. In reality, though, they are an excellent counter to Aldebaran's pure logic, and she's just accepting enough of everyone that even Aldebaran's cold attitude starts to defrost a little. They value her opinions greatly.
