History

Alys was a part of an experiment, or rather an accedental experiment on Kerberos.

During the time the Nightmares were at large the scientist of Kerberous were frantically researching them. They began collecting nightmare matter left behind, as well as people affected by them and researched them.

During this process the Nightmare matter was stronger then they first predicted, the Nightmare matter that was proven to have been though to be dormant, wasn't. While setting up for the first run of the test Alys was setting up the room, as ze were setting up the room the matter seemingly jumped to life. Alys was the only scientist in the room so ze were the only one effected. The Nightmare matter completely took zem over. It all happened so fast and no one had enough time to try and do anything to save zem, and after everything was done no one saw it safe to go in the room and locked the room ad the whole experiment down.

Years later: The planet is now abandoned and destroyed due to Eclipse. Alys has woken back up after being declared dead, now with a way off the planet.

Brain Dump

I super want to rework Alys so I'm going to put a brain dump here before I sort through all the other words I wrote before.

Alys was a scientist on Kerberous one of few scientist who fled Eris to work on science experiments banned on Eris. When they arrived on Kerberous they eventually found out these creatures, which they called Nightmares inhabited or frequently visitied the planet. The nightmares, if they got to close to any humans, would cause the human to experence extreamly vivid nightmares. People effected have been seen to have brain damage even after the effects seemingly left.

The energy the nightmare's released ended up stranding the scientist on the planet until they could find a way off. Some worked on an escape while others tried to learn more about the nightmares.

Nightmares are known to sometimes leave void like goop every now and then after an encounter. One scientist started studying it and, in secret, started a dna fusion experiment, some say they were being influenced by the nightmares to do this, others beleive they were just going a bit mad on their own and started acting reckless. All we know for sure is the result of this experiment resulted in the creation of who we now know as Eclipes.

Eclipes upon first few seconds of creation was seemingly stable, the scientist, now with a pitch black skin tone and bright pink eyes, still seemed to have control dispite this drastic new change. But that changed when one of the other scientist came in, Alys.

Upon entering the room with Eclipse ze started to get the effects from them just like any other nightmare. Ze paniced, Eclipse got conflicted in their actions, the scientist wanted to try and confort Alys but the nightmare wanted something different. This was the trigger for the nightmare half to start completly taking over, this woke it up.

Alys, scared out of zer mind and Eclipse starting to lost control ended up resulting in Alys getting attacked by Eclipse. Ze lost zer arm, zer arm got infected with the nightmare essence Eclipse was made of. Alys, when zer human parts are in control, suffer from amnesia and sever PTSD, ze can't recall what or who ze is scared of, ze remeber nothing of that day or the encounter. All ze know is ze are scared and the fear is overwhelming. The small bit of esscence that is in their arm can fully take over their body, when this happenes ze remember nothing of what occured while the nightmare was in control. Ze don't even know ze are part nightmare.

People don't get the typical nightmare effects from being around Alys unless ze go full nightmare mode and even then it's dulled down a bit.
